American International HYNK1133 Single and Double DIN Dash Kit
DASH DISASSEMBLY
- Remove the (2) Phillips screws from below the bottom edge of the Radio/ Climate control trim bezel assembly.
- Carefully unclip and pry forward the thin- trim panel that is located at the right of the instrument gauges and extends to above the right side dash vent.
- Remove the (3) Phillips screws securing the top edge of the Radio/Climate control trim bezel assembly.
- Open the driver’s door and remove the side dash trim panel.
- Remove the single Phillips screw securing the left edge of the lower driver’s knee panel cover
- Remove the (2) Phillips screws securing the lower edges of the drivers side knee panel cover.
- Carefully pry forward the lower drivers side knee panel and lay out of the way.
- Remove the single Phillips screw located directly below the ignition securing the left edge of the Radio/Climate control trim assembly.
- Carefully starting at the top edge and working your way counter clockwise, pry the entire radio/Climate control trim assembly forward, disconnect all attached harnesses and remove assembly.
- Remove the (4) Phillips screws securing the radio to the sub-dash, pull radio forward and disconnect the wire harness and antenna lead and remove radio.
KIT ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Single ISO Mount Applications
- This kit is an (ISO) mounting kit only.
- The mounting sleeve of your new radio and trim ring cannot be used when ISO mounting an aftermarket radio. Your radio must have a removeable trim ring.
- Insert left and right mounting brackets to rear of kit as and secure to rear of kit fascia using (4) small phillips screws included in kit.
- Insert pocket irito lower section of kit from rear & lock into slots of mounting brackets.
- Insert ISO mountable radio between ISO mount brackets and loosely attach to sides of radio using screws provided with radio when possible or screws supplied with kit.
- Slide radio forward or backward for desired look and tighten screws.
Double DIN Mount Applications
- Attach the left and right side brackets to the main frame.
- Insert ISO mountable radio between ISO mount brackets from the back and loosely attach to sides of radio using screws provided with radio when possible or hardware included with kit.
- Slide radio component forward or backward for desired look and tighten screws.
- Attach a rear support bracket to the rear of the new radio and adjust as necessary to attach to the rear support stud located on the back of the pocket using the small phillips screw supplied with kit.
NOTE
Test the movement of the face of the radio prior to securing the kit to the
sub dash, you may need to re-adjust the radio forward for proper clearance.
