Product Information

The IDLV-45 series is a 45W PWM Output LED Driver. It is compliant with IS 15885 (Part 2/Sec13) standard and designed by Thomas Samuel. The driver is available in multiple models, including:

  • IDLV-45-12: DC Voltage – 12V, Rated Current – 3.0A, Rated Power – 36W
  • IDLV-45-24: DC Voltage – 24V, Rated Current – 1.88A, Rated Power – 45.12W
  • IDLV-45-36: DC Voltage – 36V, Rated Current – 1.25A, Rated Power – 45W
  • IDLV-45-48: DC Voltage – 48V, Rated Current – 0.94A, Rated Power – 45.12W
  • IDLV-45-60: DC Voltage – 60V, Rated Current – 0.75A, Rated Power – 45W

The driver has a dimming range of 0~100% and a voltage tolerance. It operates with a wide voltage range of 90 ~ 295VAC and a frequency range of 47 ~ 63Hz. The power factor is greater than 0.95/115VAC, 0.92/230VAC, and 0.9/277VAC at full load. It also has a total harmonic distortion of less than 20% and an efficiency ranging from 84% to 90% depending on the model.

Product Usage Instructions

To use the IDLV-45 series LED driver, follow these instructions:

  1. Ensure that the input voltage is within the range of 90 ~ 295VAC and the frequency is between 47 ~ 63Hz.
  2. Connect the AC power source to the driver’s input terminals.
  3. Make sure the total load on the driver does not exceed its rated power.
  4. If dimming is required, connect the appropriate dimming control signal to the driver’s dimming input terminal. The driver supports a dimming range of 0~100%.
  5. Connect the LED load to the driver’s output terminals. Make sure the polarity is correct.
  6. For IDLV-45-12 model, an auxiliary DC output of nominal 12V is available. Connect the auxiliary load (up to 50mA) to the A-Type only.
  7. Verify that the power factor, total harmonic distortion, and efficiency meet your requirements.

Description

IDLV-45 series is a 45W AC/DC LED driver featuring the constant voltage mode PWM style output design. IDLV-45 operates from 90~295VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 60V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -20°C~+85°C case temperature under free air convection. IDLV-45 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the design flexibility for LED lighting system.

NOTE|

  1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25°C of ambient temperature.
  2. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
  3. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
  4. Aux. 12V will be damaged with short circuit; It will not be available with dimming off or output no load condition.
  5. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since MC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify MC Directive on the complete installation again.
  6. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5°C/1000m with fanless models and of 5°C/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft)
  7. To fulfill requirements of the latest Er regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED power supply can only be used behind a switch without permanently
    connected to the mains.

Note:

  1. Min. duty cycle of output current is about 8% and the output current is not defined when 0%< Iout<8%.
  2. The duty cycle of output current could drop down to 0% when dimming input is about 0Vdc or 10V PWM signal with 0% duty cycle.
