TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Please make sure that your house installation supply voltage corresponds to the voltage marked on the unit. Incorrect power supply may cause serious damage to this appliance.

  • Mains supply: 120V ~ 60 H2 – AC only

UNPACKING

Your appliance has been packaged carefully to ensure the product reaches you in good condition. Carefully unpack your appliance. Make sure you do not discard any packaging material until all parts of the appliance have been found (see below),
Carefully wipe the exterior and cooking plates of the appliance to remove any dust that may have accumulated if necessary, Dry with a dry towel. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners as these may damage any plastics. Refer cleaning section, Remove any label or sticker before use.
WARNING! Do not immerse in water or any other liquids.
WARNING! If the product has been damaged, dropped, has a malfunction in any way, or if the supply cord is damaged, immediately contact your retailer for replacement or repair.

PACKAGE CONTENTS

You should have the following. Do not discard any packaging untl all accessories have been found. Each product is checked at production and there should be no missing components.

Location

  • This appliance is for indoor use only
  • This appliance is for household use only and not for commercial use.
  • Always place the appliance on a level non slippery stable surface.

Always place the appliance on a heat resistant surface, as the appliance will reach high temperatures.
WARNING! Do not leave any appliance on while unattended.
WARNING! Always leave a gap of approximately 20 cm around the exterior of appliance when on. Never use near curtains, under cupboards or near walls, or other flammable material.
WARNING! Do not let the supply cord hang over the edge of any bench or tabletop. There may be a risk of scalding or other injury should young children pull the appliance from the bench or tabletop.

Power connection

This appliance must be connected to a 120V volt AC 60 Hz 2 pin power outlet socket supply. Do not overload the supply socket, 10 amps (2300-2400 watts) is the maximum allowed on any one- socket outlet. Appliances such as refrigeration, computers or other critical appliances should not be used on circuits with other appliances connected; they should have dedicated supply circuits to lesson the risk of power loss.
If using an extension cord, ensure that it is suitably rated for the load of this appliance.

Control and Safety

This appliance is fitted with the following control and safety equipment.

  • Over temperature safety cut out fuse
  • Automatic temperature control
  • Red power on indictor lamp
  • Green heating ready indicator lamp

OPERATION

  • For first time use, apply a thin coating of cooking oll or similar to the cooking plates.
  • Connect the appliance to a suitable power source and switch on. The red and green lamp will be illuminated at the same time
  • Once the unit has reached its peak cooking temperature, the green lamp will not be illuminated and this appliance is ready to cooking.During cooking, the green light may go out, meaning that the unit has cooled and the elements are now working to return the temperature to its optimum heat.
  • Use the adjustable wheel on the side of the Electric Grill to hold the top element in place. Tighten the wheel as desired. This is useful when heating pizza in the unit.

NOTE: The first time you use your appliance; there may be a small amount of smoke and odour. This is normal. It is due to the heating of a protective coating, placed on the heating elements, to protect them during shipping.
NOTE: This Electric Grill shall not be controlled by the use of an external timer or separate remote control; this device must be plugged directly into a wall supply socket.
WARNING: The external surfaces of the Electric Grill will become hot when in use, please do not touch or attempt to clean when hot, only open and close by use of the handle.

NOTE: The above symbol indicates that you should execute caution and should not touch as the surface will be hot when in use.

CLEANING AND CARING

  • Always allow your appliance to cool completely before final cleaning.
  • WARNING! Never immerse your appliance in water or other liquids.
  • When cooled completely wipe the exterior of the appliance with a warm soft damp cloth. Dry with a dry towel.
  • Do not use harsh abrasives as they may damage any plastic, non-stick surface or the exterior finish.
  • Store your appliance in its original box or in a dry cupboard. Keep this manual with the appliance for future reference.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

  • Carefully read these instructions before using your appliance.
  • VERY IMPORTANT: Do not immerse in water or other liquids or use near washbasins or sinks. Ensure that the appliance does not get wet (water splashes etc.) and do not use it with wet hands.
  • Safely dispose of plastic bags and other components of the packaging. They may be potentially dangerous to children.
  • WARNING! Unplug from mains outlet when appliance is not in use, filling with water or cleaning.
  • An appliance dropped or damaged should not be used until examined by a service engineer.
  • Do not permit the mains lead to come in contact with hot objects.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  • CAUTION: Keep out of reach of children. This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons. Young children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Use this appliance only for its intended use. Use only genuine attachments supplied by an authorised Service Dealer.
  • This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
  • The appliance should not be used outdoors, placed near a hot gas or electrical burner or placed in a heated oven.
  • WARNING! Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter.
  • WARNING! This appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in.
  • WARNING! Always disconnect from the mains supply before moving this appliance or removing from the base.
  • WARNING! Ensure adequate ventilation; keep an open space of approximately 20 cm all around the appliance.
  • WARNING! Do not use the appliance near flammable materials such as curtains, or other combustible material.

If appliance is to be used by a third party, please supply the instruction manual with it. No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non- compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
