Important Safety Instructions:

  • Never connect the ground wire to the hot wire. Failure to follow this could result in serious injury or death.
  • Make sure there are no exposed wires or strands that could cause a dangerous short circuit.
  • Never reverse hot and neutral wires. Failure to follow this could result in serious injury or death.
  • Do not exceed the recommended wattage of 60 watts for the type B lamp.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the installation area and ensuring the power source is switched off.
  2. Attach the mounting plate (A) to the desired location using the provided mounting screws (B).
  3. Securely fasten the ground screw (C) to the mounting plate (A).
  4. Ensure that the ground wire is not connected to the hot wire and use a wire nut (D) to properly connect the wires.
  5. Check for any exposed wires or strands that could cause a short circuit and address them if found.
  6. Attach the fixture assembly (F) to the mounting plate (A) using the provided screw (E) and an Allen head tool (I).
  7. Insert the recommended 60 watt type B bulb (G) into the socket.
  8. Place the shade (H) over the bulb (G) for aesthetic appeal.

Please note that if any replacement parts are needed, refer to the following part numbers:

  • Mounting Plate (A): HDW- – 6
  • Shade (H): SHD- – 6
  • Tool (I): TOL- – 6

  • UNPACK FIXTURE, PARTS AND PARTS BAG(S) BEFORE DISCARDING THE CARTON. MAKE CERTAIN THAT ALL PARTS ARE FOUND. INSPECT THE FIXTURE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION FOR ANY DAMAGE. HVLG DOES NOT PAY OR REIMBURSE ELECTRICIAN FEES. FIXTURE MAY NOT BE RETURNED ONCE IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED. SEE WARRANTY FOR EXCEPTIONS.
  • PLEASE CLEAN WITH A SOFT, DRY CLOTH ONLY! DO NOT USE CLEANSERS.

FIXTURE INSTALLATION

  1. Attach the MOUNTING PLATE (A) unto the junction box using the MOUNTING SCREWS (B). This fixture is designed to be mounted on standard round or octagon junction box. The junction box must be securely mounted to the structure of the building.
  2. Attach the Ground wire (Green) to the ground inside the outlet box (Generally green or bar copper wire) or the GROUND SCREW (C) on the MOUNTING PLATE (A). NEVER CONNECT GROUND WIRE TO “HOT” WIRE! FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!
  3. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral (Generally white) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with an approved fastener (WIRE NUT) (D). Starting I” below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape so that the connections seals the end of the fastener. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO EXPOSED WIRE OF STRANDS THAT COULD CAUSE A DANGEROUS SHORT CIRCUIT!
  4. Connect the black fixture leads to the hot (Generally black) wire in the junction box. Fasten the joined wires same as previous step. NEVER REVERSE HOT AND NEUTRAL WIRES. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!
  5. Attach the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (F) to the MOUNTING PLATE (A) and secure with the ALLEN HEAD SCREW (E) using the TOOL (1).
  6. Screw the BULB (G) into the SOCKET of the fixture. THIS FIXTURE IS RATED FOR 60 WATT TYPE B LAMP. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED WATTAGE!
  7. Place the SHADE (H) over the BULB (G) of the fixture.
  8. Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.
