Product Information

The product is the Gladwyne H760806 fixture from the Mitzi collection by Hudson Valley Lighting Group. It is designed for installation in residential or commercial spaces.

The fixture comes with the following parts:

• Part A: Mounting Plate
• Part B: Mounting Screws
• Part C: Ground Screw
• Part D: Wire Nut
• Part E: Bolt Nut
• Part F: Canopy
• Part G: Swivel
• Part H: Stem Kit
• Part K: Shade
• Part J: Bulb (8 watt type B lamp)

Product Usage Instructions

1. Feed the wire through the Stem Kit (H) and twist tightly onto the Fixture Assembly (I). Add additional stems if needed to achieve the desired hanging height.
2. Slide the Canopy (F) onto the Stem Kit (H), and thread the Swivel (G) onto the top end of the Stem Kit (H).
3. Pull the wire out from the junction box and install the Mounting Plate (A) onto the junction box using the Mounting Screws (B). Ensure that the junction box is securely mounted to the building structure.
4. Trim off the excess wire to a minimum of 6 inches beyond the stem and strip each wire by 5/8 inch.
5. Attach the Ground wire (Green) to the ground inside the outlet box or to the Ground Screw (C) on the Mounting Plate (A). Never connect the ground wire to the hot wire.
6. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral (Generally white) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with a Wire Nut (D) and seal the connection with electrical tape. Ensure there are no exposed wires or strands.
7. Connect the black fixture leads to the hot (Generally black) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the joined wires together using a Wire Nut (D). Never reverse hot and neutral wires.
8. Push the wires back into the junction box. Lift up the Canopy (F) to the ceiling and secure it with the Bolt Nut (E).
9. Screw the Bulb (J) into the Socket of the fixture. Use an 8 watt type B lamp and do not exceed the recommended wattage.
10. Place the Shade (K) over the Bulb (J) of the fixture.
11. Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.

• UNPACK FIXTURE, PARTS AND PARTS BAG(S) BEFORE DISCARDING THE CARTON. MAKE CERTAIN THAT ALL PARTS ARE FOUND. INSPECT THE FIXTURE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION FOR ANY
  DAMAGE. HVLG DOES NOT PAY OR REIMBURSE ELECTRICIAN FEES. FIXTURE MAY NOT BE RETURNED ONCE IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED. SEE WARRANTY FOR EXCEPTIONS.

• PLEASE CLEAN WITH A SOFT, DRY CLOTH ONLY! DO NOT USE CLEANSERS.

FIXTURE INSTALLATION

1. Feed the wire through the STEM KIT (H) and twist tightly onto the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (I). Keep adding additional stems until you desired hanging height is met.
2. Slide in CANOPY (F) onto the STEM KIT (H), and thread the SWIVEL (G) onto the top end of the STEM KIT (H).
3. Pull the wire out from the junction box, and install the MOUNTING PLATE (A) onto the junction box using the MOUNTING SCREWS (B). This fixture is designed to be mounted on standard round or octagon junction box. The junction box must be securely mounted to the structure of the building.
4. Trim off the excess wire to a minimum 6″ beyond the STEM and strip each wire 58″.
5. Attach the Ground wire (Green) to the ground inside the outlet box (Generally green or bar copper wire) or the GROUND SCREW (C) on the MOUNTING PLATE (A). NEVER CONNECT GROUND WIRE TO “HOT” WIRE! FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!
6. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral (Generally white) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with an approved fastener ( WIRE NUT) (D). Starting 1″ below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape so that the connections seals the end of the fastener. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO EXPOSED WIRE OF STRANDS THAT COULD CAUSE A DANGEROUS SHORT CIRCUIT!
7. Connect the black fixture leads to the hot (Generally black) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the joined wires same as previous step. NEVER REVERSE HOT AND NEUTRAL WIRES. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!
8. Push the wires back into the junction box. Lift up the CANOPY (F) up to the ceiling, and secure with the BOLT NUT (E).
9. Screw the BULB (J) up into the SOCKET of the fixture. THIS FIXTURE IS RATED FOR 8 WATT TYPE B LAMP. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED WATTAGE!
10. Place the SHADE (K) over the BULB (J) of the fixture.
11. Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.
