Product Information

The Adjustable Offset Cane with Ortho-Ease Grip (Items 6327 & 6328) is a therapist-preferred cane designed to provide support and stability for individuals with mobility issues. It features a height-adjustable design and an ergonomic Ortho-Ease grip for comfortable use. This cane has a maximum user weight limitation of 250 lb, evenly distributed.

5. Before use, ensure the tip is properly seated and straight. Check the rubber tip for rips, tears, cracks, or wear. If any of these conditions exist, replace the rubber tip immediately.
6. Always use caution when using this product on wet or slippery surfaces.
7. Inspect the product weekly for proper function and wear. If any component is not in proper working order or appears worn, contact your Lumex dealer for repair and/or appropriate replacement parts.
8. The single push button height adjustment must be fully engaged and protruding through the height adjustment hole on the cane to ensure a positive lock. Always test to see that the cane handle is properly and securely locked in place before using.
9. Make sure the locking collet is securely tightened at all times.

Instructions for Use

Height Adjustment

1. Loosen the locking collet by twisting it counter-clockwise.
2. Adjust the cane height: Depress the push button and slide the lower section upward or downward to the desired height. The top of the cane should be even with the break in your wrist and/or your hip joint. Note: An audible click will be heard when the push button securely protrudes through the adjustment hole.
3. Secure the locking collet by turning it clockwise until tight.

Grip Position Adjustment

1. Loosen the adjustment screw with a slotted screwdriver.
2. Pull the grip away from the cane until the handgrip is free to rotate.
3. Rotate the handgrip to the desired position.
4. Push the handgrip forward until it is no longer able to rotate and locks into position.

MAINTENANCE

• Wipe product weekly with a damp cloth.
• Grips may be cleaned with mild soap or detergent. DO NOT use organic solvents, such as acetone, which may damage grip.
• Never use organic solvents, abrasive cleaners, or scouring pads on any part of the product.
• Check locking collet weekly for tightness.
• Replace cane tip as needed.
• To guarantee the best service from your product, always specify Lumex replacement parts, available from your GF Health Products, Inc. distributor.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Please Read all Instructions Before Use.
• The Lumex® Ortho-Ease® grip angle can be adjusted to comfortably fit the user’s hand and wrist angle, minimizing stress on the joints.

ADJUSTMENT

HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

1. Loosen locking collet by twisting counter-clockwise.

ORTHO-EASE ADJUSTMENT

1. Loosen adjustment screw with slotted screwdriver.
2. Pull grip away from the cane until handgrip is free to rotate.
3. Rotate handgrip to desired position.
4. Push handgrip forward until it is no longer able to rotate and locks into place.
5. Tighten adjustment screw clockwise until secure.

LIMITED WARRANTY

GF Health Products, Inc. (“GF”) warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship to the original retail purchaser or original lessee only (“Customer”) for:

• Frame: three (3) years

Tips, Wheels/Casters, and Handgrips: three (3) months
The warranty does not cover: 1) other non-durable components; 2) defects, damage or other conditions caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, alteration, accident, freight damage, tampering or failure to seek and obtain repair or replacement in a timely manner; and 3) products not installed, used, or properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with the applicable GF instructions. Product provided to a lessee must be inspected prior to delivery and must be maintained by the Dealer. The lessee must be properly trained on the operation and safety of this product prior to use.

GF will, at its option, repair or replace the defective product. Warranty issues must: 1) be reported to the Dealer from whom the Customer purchased the product within the applicable warranty period and 2) upon examination by GF or its authorized representative, prove to be a warranty item. GF is not responsible for freight or labor charges associated with the warranted item. If there is no Dealer, you must contact GF directly by calling 770-368-4700, faxing 770-368-4932 or e-mailing cs@grahamfield.com. Specific directions will be provided.

TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY IS GF’S ONLY WARRANTY AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. EXCEPT IN CASES WHERE IMPLIED WARRANTIES MAY NOT BE VALIDLY WAIVED, GF MAKES NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. GF’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR THIS PRODUCT IS LIMITED TO THE COST OF THE PRODUCT(S) GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT WILL GF BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. CERTAIN LAWS MAY CONFER ADDITIONAL RIGHTS REGARDING WARRANTIES FOR SPECIFIC PRODUCTS AND IN THOSE INSTANCES GF’S LIABILITY AND THE LIABILITY OF GF’S SUPPLIERS, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
