GENERAL WARNINGS

To ensure the safe assembly and operation of the commode, these instructions must be followed. FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY TO THE USER OR DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT.
If you are unable to understand these warnings, cautions and/or instructions, contact a healthcare professional, dealer or Medline before attempting to use this product.

  • DO NOT assemble and use this product without first reading and understanding this user guide, otherwise injury or damage may occur.
  • DO NOT use if components are missing or are damaged, contact Medline at 1-800-MEDLINE | 1-800-268-2848.
  • DO NOT exceed weight capacity of 350lbs (158 kg).
  • DO NOT make any adjustments while using the product.
  • DO NOT attempt to use the arms to support full body weight.
  • DO NOT stand on the commode.

MAINTENANCE

Periodic visual inspection of this commode is recommended to ensure that all parts and hardware are secure, that components are in good working order and not worn, torn, frayed,  or loose, and that there are no obstructions or impediments to normal, safe operation. If any part or mechanism appears to be unsafe or damaged, do not use the product. If you  experience problems, please contact Medline at 1-800-MEDLINE | 1-800-268-2848.

ASSEMBLY:

  1. Remove contents from box.
    Depress pushbuttons and insert bucket frame section into first arm. The pushbuttons will snap into place when frame in securely in place. Note: Make sure the back of the bucket frame (the side with the backrest receptacles) is on the same side as the back of the armrest section.

  2. Repeat for second arm section.

  3. Insert backrest into backrest receptacles in commode bucket frame. The pushbuttons will snap into place when secure.

  4. Align the padded or unpadded toilet seat clamps onto the rear frame rail. (Both clamps should sit outside the pail brackets).
    Push down on seat until clamps snap firmly into place. To remove, grasp the back of the seat and lift.

  5. Install commode bucket by dropping into bucket frame. Lift bucket from frame to remove for emptying and cleaning.

LEG HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Before using the commode, make sure all legs are set to the same preferred height.

  1. To adjust leg height, depress pushbutton and slide each leg to the desired height by aligning with proper holes and letting the pushbutton snap into the correct hole. (Figure 1)

  2. Repeat until all legs are adjusted to the preferred height.

  3. Make sure legs are locked into place by pushing down and pulling up on each leg.

CAUTIONS:

Users with limited physical strength and/or mobility should be supervised and/or assisted while using the product.
Prior to use, ensure the following:

  1. Toilet seat must be in the down position before use.
    Failure to do so may results in possible injury or damage.

  2. All push buttons are fully protruded and are properly engaged.

  3. There are no loose, broken or missing components and ensure all parts are secure.

  4. When using the backrest, ensure the commode remains balanced. Excessive twisting or turning while seated on the commode may cause a loss of balance and/or damage to the   product.

  5. Tips on the extension legs do not contain rips, cracks or are excessively worn. Immediately replace missing or damaged tips.

  6. All four legs touch the floor simultaneously at all times.

  7. User evenly distributes weight between the arm supports when transferring in and out of the commode.

  8. Arms should be unlatched and dropped to assist in transfer on or off the device.

CLEANING

  • Clean with regular household cleaning products. Use a non-abrasive cleaner with warm water. Wipe dry after cleaning.
  • DO NOT use abrasive powders, cleaners or scouring pads.

This limited warranty is an expression of our confidence in the materials and workmanship of our products and assures years of convenient, dependable service. In the event of a defect covered by this warranty, we will, at our option, repair or replace the device. This warranty does not cover device failure due to owner misuse or negligence, or normal wear and tear. The warranty does not extend to non-durable components, such as rubber accessories, casters and grips, which are subject to normal wear and replacement.
