Product Information

The Genoa 350-24 is a lighting fixture manufactured by Corbett Lighting, a part of the Hudson Valley Lighting Group. It is designed to be mounted on a standard round or octagon junction box and is suitable for use in residential and commercial buildings.  The fixture comes with a mounting plate, studs, hex nuts, groundscrew, wire nut, ball nut, and glass strand A.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Attach the mounting plate (A) to the junction box using the provided mounting screws (B). Ensure that the junction box is securely mounted to the building structure. Thread the studs (C) onto the mounting plate, adjusting them so that the threads extend 136 beyond the fixture assembly (H). Secure the studs with hex nuts (D).
2. Connect the ground wire (green) to the ground inside the outlet box or the ground screw (F) on the mounting plate (A). Never connect the ground wire to the hot wire to avoid serious injury or death.
3. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral wire (generally white) in the outlet box. Use an approved fastener (wire nut) (G) to secure the wires together. Start 1 below the fastener and tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape to seal it. Ensure there are no exposed wires or strands that could cause a dangerous short circuit.
4. Connect the black fixture leads to the hot wire (generally black) in the junction box. Fasten the joined wires as in the previous step. Never reverse hot and neutral wires to avoid serious injury or death.
5. Attach the fixture assembly (H) to the mounting plate (A) and secure it using the provided ball nut (E).
6. Screw the recommended 8-watt Type B lamp (I) into the socket of the fixture assembly (H). Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
7. Attach glass strand A (J) to the fixture assembly (H).
8. Restore power to the outlet at the breaker or fuse box.

• UNPACK FIXTURE, PARTS AND PARTS BAG(S) BEFORE DISCARDING THE CARTON. MAKE CERTAIN THAT ALL PARTS ARE FOUND. INSPECT THE FIXTURE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION FOR ANY DAMAGE. HVLG DOES NOT PAY OR REIMBURSE ELECTRICIAN FEES. FIXTURE MAY NOT BE RETURNED ONCE IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED. SEE WARRANTY FOR EXCEPTIONS.
• PLEASE CLEAN WITH A SOFT, DRY CLOTH ONLY! DO NOT USE CLEANSERS.

FIXTURE INSTALLATION

1. Attach the MOUNTING PLATE (A) unto the junction box using the MOUNTING SCREWS (B). This fixture is designed to be mounted on standard round or octagon junction box. The junction box must be securely mounted to the structure of the building. Thread the STUDS (C) onto the MOUNTING PLATE (A). Adjust the thread of the STUDS (C) so that the threads extend 3 16″ beyond the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (H), then secure with HEX NUTS (D).
2. Attach the Ground wire (Green) to the ground inside the outlet box (Generally green or bare copper wire) or the GROUND SCREW (F) on the MOUNTING PLATE (A). NE?ER CONNECT GROUND WIRE TO “HOT” WIRE? FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH?
3. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral (Generally white) wire in the outlet box. Fasten the wires together with an approved fastener (WIRE NUT) (G). Starting 1″ below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape so that the connections seals the end of the fastener. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO EXPOSED WIRE OF STRANDS THAT COULD CAUSE A DANGEROUS SHORT CIRCUIT?
4. Connect the black fixture leads to the hot (Generally black) wire in the junction box. Fasten the joined wires same as previous step. NE?ER RE?ERSE HOT AND NEUTRAL WIRES. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH?
5. Attach the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (H) to the MOUNTING PLATE (A) and secure using BALL NUT (E).
6. Screw the BULB (I) into the SOCKET of the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (H). THIS FIXTURE IS RATED FOR 8 WATT TYPE B LAMP. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED WATTAGE
7. Attach the GLASS STRAND A (J) to the FIXTURE ASSEMBLY (H).
8. Restore power to the OUTLET at the breaker or fuse box.
