Phoenix Gold ZDSKV3 Volvo 2 Way Speaker Kit
Product Information
The ZDSKV3 is a car audio speaker upgrade kit designed for Volvo S80 vehicles manufactured between 2006 and 2011 with the Performance Sound System. This kit includes speakers, filters, cables, and other necessary components to enhance the audio quality in your car.
Tools Required for Installation
- Plastic Pry Tool
- T25 Screwdriver
- 10mm Wrenches / Sockets
- 5mm Drill
- PH2 Screwdriver
Product Usage Instructions
ZDSKV3 Installation 1 – Front door panel removal
- Use the Plastic Pry Tool to remove the front door panel.
- Remove the tweeter pod.
- Disconnect the tweeter connector.
- Remove the screw cover.
ZDSKV3 Installation 2 – Door panel removal
- Use the T25 Screwdriver and Plastic Pry Tool to unscrew and remove two screws.
- Pull and lift the door panel up to remove it.
- Disconnect the door connectors.
ZDSKV3 Installation 3 – OEM speaker removal
- Locate the OEM speaker.
- Disconnect the speaker connector.
- Drill out the OEM speaker.
- Take out the nuts and bolts securing the OEM speaker.
ZDSKV3 Installation 4 – Speaker installation
- Insert the bolt provided with the ZDSKV3 kit.
- Screw on the nuts from the back to secure the speaker in place.
- Connect the speaker harness.
- Route the cable into the adapter.
ZDSKV3 Installation 5 – Phoenix Gold speaker installation
- Connect the Phoenix Gold speaker to the speaker harness.
- Use a PH2 Screwdriver to screw the speaker in place.
- Fasten the filter and cables.
- Take out the tweeter and foam ring.
ZDSKV3 Installation 6 – Tweeter installation
- Put the tweeter in the foam ring.
- Drill out the OEM tweeter.
- Remove the OEM tweeter.
- Make a little cut and peel off the protective film.
ZDSKV3 Installation 7 – Tweeter finalization
- Press the tweeter into place.
- Add the foam plate.
- Separate these cables (-2dB TW).
- Connect the speaker harness.
ZDSKV3 Installation 8 – Final steps
- Fasten the filter and cables securely.
- Reassemble the door in reverse order.
- Mount the tweeter pod.
- Your installation is now complete!

Remove the tweeter pod

Disconnect the tweeter connector

Tools required -
Unscrew the two screws

Remove the door panel (pull)

Lift the door panel up

Remove the door connectors ZDSKV3 Installation 3
Tools required -
OEM Speaker
-
Disconnect the speaker connector
-
Drill out the OEM speaker
-
Take out the nuts and bolts

Tools required -
Insert the bolt

Screw on the nuts from the back

Connect the speaker harness
-
Route the cable into the adapter ZDSKV3 Installation 5
Tools required -
Connect the Phoenix Gold speaker

Screw the speaker in place

Fasten the filter and cables
-
Take out the tweeter and foam ring ZDSKV3 Installation 6
Tools required -
Put the tweeter in the foam ring

Drill out the OEM tweeter

Tweeter removed
-
Make a little cut and peel off the 24. protective film ZDSKV3 Installation 7
Tools required -
Press the tweeter into place

Add the foam plate

Separate these cables (-2dB TW)

Fasten the filter and cables

Reassemble the door in reverse

Mount the tweeter pod
