Product Usage Instructions

  1. Prepare the patient and gather all necessary equipment.
  2. Ensure the catheter is sterile and intact.
  3. Choose the appropriate size of the catheter based on the patient’s needs.
  4. Insert the GlideThruTM Peel-Away Sheath into the desired insertion site.
  5. Gently advance the sheath while holding the dilator in place.
  6. Once the sheath is in place, remove the dilator.
  7. Insert the spring-wire guide into the sheath, ensuring the straight soft tip is inserted first.
  8. Advance the spring-wire guide to the desired location, using the arrow advancer for guidance.
  9. Once the guide wire is in place, remove the sheath.
  10. Proceed with the intended medical procedure using the guide wire as needed.
  11. After the procedure, remove the guide wire carefully.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Priming volumes are approximate and are done without accessories.
  • Flow rate values are approximate and are determined using deionized water at 100 cm head height.
  • Pump flow rates are determined at a maximum pump pressure of 10 psig and represent approximate flow capabilities.
  • Pressure injection flow rates are determined at the injector pressure setting of 300 psi maximum using media of 11.8 centipoise viscosity, with 152 cm pressure tubing.

Store between 20 – 25°C (68 – 77°F). Arrow International provides the enclosed medication label(s) for your convenience. Please ensure that these labels are applied to the correct syringe and corresponding medication.

Contraindications : The Pressure Injectable Arrowg+ard Blue Advance antimicrobial/anti-thrombogenic catheter is contraindicated:

  • For patients with known hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine
  • In the presence of device-related infection in the intended insertion vessel or catheter pathway
  • In the presence of thrombosis in the intended insertion vessel or catheter pathway
