The NXT Power SNMP Card is an interface between the UPS and the network. It supports SNMP and HTTP protocols for user access, allowing users to monitor the UPS status, issue commands, and set up the SNMP card through the network. The card adopts Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), which is an Internet Standard protocol for collecting and organizing information about managed devices over IP networks. It provides real-time remote monitoring and control of UPS status, orderly shutdown of remote computers, remote configuration of the UPS, review of UPS data log, remote UPS self-test, email notifications of power and UPS status, remote view of UPS load levels and battery status, and notifications from UPS regarding fault conditions.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the NXT Power SNMP Card is installed within the UPS upon delivery.
- Connect the UPS to the network using an Ethernet cable.
- Access the web-based management interface of the SNMP Card by entering its IP address in a web browser.
- Authenticate yourself using the provided credentials for secure access.
- Once logged in, you can remotely monitor and control the UPS status.
- To perform management tasks such as scheduled shutdowns, startups, and reboots, navigate to the respective options in the interface.
- You can also configure the UPS settings remotely through the web-based interface.
- To review the UPS data log, access the log section in the interface.
- For remote UPS self-tests, go to the appropriate section and initiate the test.
- If you wish to receive email notifications of power and UPS status, configure the email settings in the interface.
- To view the UPS load levels and battery status remotely, navigate to the corresponding sections in the interface.
- If there are any fault conditions detected by the UPS, you will receive notifications. Take appropriate actions based on the notifications.

NXT Power SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) cards are an interface
between the UPS and the network. Cards can communicate the status of a UPS and
issue commands to it. All NXT Power SNMP cards support SNMP and HTTP protocols
for user access. Through the SNMP and a Web Browser, users can monitor the UPS
status, issue commands, and set up the SNMP card through the network.
