Other Consumer Safety Information

This appliance is intended for household use only.

WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard: This appliance is provided with a polarized plug (one wide blade) to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet.

A short power-supply cord is used to reduce the risk resulting from it being grabbed by children, becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do not use another high wattage appliance on the same circuit with this appliance.

To Descale Water Reservoir:
Water Reservoir buildup is a natural process caused by minerals in water. You may notice brown stains or whitish powder, which is caused by heating/ boiling water. To remove discoloration or scale/lime deposits left on Water Reservoir, follow steps 14 below.

  1. Pour 100 mL (3.4 oz) white vinegar to MAX Fill Line in Water Reservoir. Do not steam any items with vinegar in Water Reservoir.

  2. Place Lid onto Base with Steam Vents facing back.

  3. Plug into outlet. Press Steam ( ) Button to begin descale operation.
Steam Sanitizer and Indicator Light will automatically turn off when descaling is complete.

  4. Cool completely. Rinse Water Reservoir and add 100 mL (3.4 oz) water to MAX Fill Line in Water Reservoir on Base. Repeat steps 13 to remove any remaining vinegar in Steam Sanitizer.

  5. Follow these steps when deposits appear. If you have hard water, buildup will appear faster.
