Frequently Asked Questions
Does this also shock when barking is sensed?
No, it doesn’t. To stop a dog from barking, you must press a button, or you may choose to wear a second no-bark collar, as many customers do.
Does come with one or two shock collar?
This offering is for a kit that includes a collar receiver and a remote transmitter.
Does the remote have a lock feature to prevent accidental corrections?
There is no lock option on this remote transmitter. Buttons like these are made to last and are strong enough for use in sports. With this product, accidental corrections are not frequently reported.
Is vibration and tone modes are adjustable too?
Only the level of static correction is changeable; the levels of vibration and tone are not.
Is this compatible with all sport dog beepers?
While the majority of SportDOG Brand remote trainers are interoperable, not all of them are. We will need to know what equipment you intend to combine this trainer with in order to answer specific inquiries about compatibility.
Can both batteries be changed by the user?
Yes.
What are the three attachments that come with it for?
International plugs are supported by the charger’s three attachments. The charger can be used with conventional power outlets from North America, the UK/Ireland, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Can the level be set per dog so it changes when a dog is selected?
Yes, the level can be set separately.
Would this be compatible with the 425S receiver?
Although the FieldTrainer 425S receiver collar would work with this remote, the full 3/4-mile range would not be available. As the receiver collar from the FieldTrainer is smaller and has a shorter internal antenna, you would only achieve a maximum range of roughly 12 mile.
Does this product show battery indicator for collar on remote?
The remote’s battery life is indicated on the remote. The receiver collar’s battery level cannot be seen by the remote. The receiver collar glows green every five seconds when the battery level is over 20%. The receiver collar will blink red every five seconds when the battery level falls below 20%.
Is receiver compatible with wetlands model 425?
Yes.
Will this product indicate if a dog is on point?
No, it doesn’t.
Does this Remote work with the Contain collars?
Yes, it does.
Are the batteries proprietary?
Yes.
