Installing Tent Stake Chuck
or Square Tube to Multi Pro™ and Multi Pro XA™ Post Driver
Parts Included in this Chuck Kit:
- Chuck: Tent Stake Chuck (301155) or Square Tube Chuck for Multi-Pro and Multi-Pro XA (301425)
- (4) Chuck Bolts (300717-4)
- (4) Lock Washers (300750-4)
Tools Required:
- Socket Wrench with 1/4” Hex Bit
- Torque Wrench with 1/4” Hex Bit (in/lbs or Nm)
- Loctite Primer 7649 and Thread locker 243
Removing the Existing Chuck
Remove the Chuck Lok™ nut from the chuck.
Then using a 1/4″ hex drive bit remove the 4 chuck bolts and lock washers and
detach the chuck.
Using acetone or cleaning solvent clean any dried thread locker from them and
the bolt holes to ensure all debris from previous installation has been
removed. Replace the Chuck Lok™ nut onto the standard chuck and store in a
convenient place for future use. Place lock washer (300750-4) over each chuck
bolt (300717-4) and apply Loctite 7649 Primer to threads of each chuck bolt
and to chuck bolt holes on the lower body. Wait for primer to dry, then apply
Loctite 243 thread locker to bolts and bolt holes. Position the new chuck
(301155) or (301425) and start, by hand, each bolt with washer. Then tighten
them with a 1/4″ hex wrench in a crossing pattern.
Finish the installation by using a torque wrench equipped with a 1/4″ hex bit.
Set the torque wrench to 251 in/pounds (28Nm) (21 ft/lbs) and torque the bolts
in the same crossing pattern.
