Product Usage Instructions
Installation
- Review the installation video on the GPS Air website or scan the provided QR code.
- For low vibration locations on ferrous surfaces, use the integral magnet located on the CI-2. Ensure proper alignment with the indicator on the CI-2.
- For high vibration or non-ferrous surfaces, use the mounting bracket with appropriate fasteners. Ensure proper alignment with the indicator on the CI-2.
Note: Improper installation methods may result in blocked airflow, improper airflow direction, airflow not interacting with emitters, or exposure to wet conditions. Refer to the provided figures for reference.
Installation Methods
Recommended Installation Locations for Specific Systems
Ceiling Cassette:
- Optimum installation location is on the fan inlet shroud.
- Ensure installation of the device does not hinder or interfere with any covers on the ceiling cassette.
Air Handler:
- Optimum installation location is on the fan inlet.
Mini Split:
- Mini splits have varying configurations between manufacturers.
- The blower outlet and coils are the most likely installation locations.
- Ensure installation of the CI-2 does not hinder covers and guards.
PTAC:
- PTAC units have varying configurations between manufacturers.
- The blower outlet and coils are the most likely installation locations.
- Ensure installation of the CI-2 does not hinder covers and guards.
Wiring
- GPS recommends powering the CI-2 constantly and not switching it with the system or blower.
- The CI-2 requires a 24VAC or 12-36VDC power source. Connect the power wires as follows:
- Black wire: Neutral
- Red wire: Line
- Green wire: Dry Contacts / BAS Alarm
- White wire: Dry Contacts / BAS Alarm
- Optional: Wire in BAS terminals. The CI-2 is equipped with a set of dry contacts that are normally open and close when the CI-2 is on and has no faults. The contacts are rated up to 125VAC and 300mA.
- Optional: Use GPS PS-2 for incoming voltages from 110-277VAC.
Operation
- CAUTION! Never touch brushes while the unit is operating to avoid electric shock.
- Once powered, the unit initiates an internal check of all systems. If the auto cleaning wiper blade is not in the home position, it will move to the home position in series with the airflow.
- NOTICE: This product is to be used only as directed. Read entire manual before use. Do not use unless properly installed.
