Preparation instructions

Milk froth:

  • We recommend using milk with a high protein content.
For best results, the milk should be taken from the refrigerator immediately before frothing.

  • To achieve a thicker froth, go through a cold-frothing cycle first, followed by a hot-frothing cycle.

Hot chocolate / cocoa:

  • To prepare drinking chocolate from milk and chocolate or cocoa.
  • Grate the chocolate finely before preparation.
  • Alternatively, break down the chocolate to pieces of 5 x 4 cm minimum (but not any smaller). Caution: Do not fill in melted chocolate!
  • Fill in the chocolate / cocoa only after the programme has started, when the milk is already being stirred. Otherwise, the stirring tool could jam (see also Error codes at the end of the instructions).
  • We recommend using the following amounts of chocolate:
    200 ml milk approx. 15-20 g
    350 ml milk approx. 30-35 g

Cappuccino

  • To prepare hot, creamy milk froth.
  • We recommend using 150 – 200 ml of milk.
  • Once the programme has finished, briefly shake the milk container and pour the milk froth on the espresso.

Protein shakes:

  • To prepare protein shakes from powder, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Dairy-based baby food:

  • To prepare baby food from milk powder according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • When preparing baby food, specific hygienic requirements must be observed. We recommend preparing baby food only for infants from 6 months on.
  • Depending on the age of the baby, use only water that has been previously boiled and then cooled down.
  • Dairy-based baby food should be prepared just before the meal and not be stored or kept too long.
  • After completion of the programme, the temperature of the dairy food for infants is approx. 37 °C. However, always check the temperature first, eg using the back of your hand.

Latte macchiato

  • To prepare hot, firm milk froth.
  • We recommend using 200 ml of milk.
  • Once the programme has finished, pour the milk froth into a tall glass.
  • To achieve a perfect build-up of layers from milk, espresso and milk froth, pour a hot espresso very slowly and carefully into the milk.

Mulled wine

  • To heat mulled wine to its ideal drinking temperature of 65 – 70 °C.

Interrupting a cycle
