CONNECT TO WIFI

  1. Connecting to the WiFi network. Method # 1
    • Open the application, press “+” in the upper right corner to add devices → select “Security & Sensor” → “Alarm Wi-Fi”.
    • Power the central unit (the siren) and turn it on by moving the button to the ON position. Using a sharp object, reset the device. The red area of the device blinks to indicate that it is in pairing mode.
    • Confirm in the application if the device is blinking.
    • From the next interface, select the WiFi network to which you want to connect the device and enter the password
    • Wait for the device to connect.

  2. Connecting to the WiFi network. Method # 2
    If you cannot add the alarm system by the method above, follow the steps below.
    • Open the application, press “+” in the upper right corner to add devices → select “Security & Sensor” → “Alarm Wi-Fi”.
    • Press “AP Mode” in the upper right corner.
    • Power the central unit (siren) and turn it on by moving the button to the ON position.
    Using a sharp object, reset the device. The red area of the device blinks to indicate that it is in pairing mode.
    • Confirm in the application if the device is blinking.
    • From the next interface, select the WiFi network, enter the password and press “Confirm”
    • Connect your phone to the alarm system hotspot. Click “Go to Connect”
    • From the list displayed select “SmartLife_XXXX” to connect.

ADD SENSORS AND REMOTE CONTROLS:

  1. Method # 1: Add by application
    • In the main interface of the TuyaSmart application, click on the previously added alarm system → “Accessories” → select “Detector” (for sensors) or “Control” (for remote controls) → “Add”
    • Click OK in the pop-up that opens
    • The central unit will light up
    • Activate the sensor you want to add. For example, if it is a motion sensor, move through it or if it is a magnetic contact, remove the two parts from each other.
    • The central unit will blink 3 times

characters\)You can edit the name of the added sensor (up to 24 characters) by clicking on the penciicon.

  2. Method # 2: Adding through the buttons on the central unit
    • Press the RESET key on the central unit. The central unit will light up.
    • Activate the sensor. For example, if it is a motion sensor, move through it or if it is a magnetic contact, remove the two parts from each other.
    • The central unit will blink 3 times.
    • Now the respective sensor has been added.

INSTALL THE CENTRAL UNIT

Move the bracket of the central unit to (disarmed) direction, remove the bracket and fix it to the wall with screws. Install the siren body on the bracket and rotate it to (armed) direction.

INSTALL THE DOOR/WINDOW CONTACT

  • The gap between the sensor and magnet should be less than 10 mm.
  • If remove the two parts from each other, and the LED on the sensor lights up, then the sensor is working properly.
  • If the two parts are close and the LED flashes rarely, it means that the battery is low. Replace the battery.
  • The maximum transmission distance is 80 meters. The presence of obstacles reduces this distance. Carefully choose the location of the sensor installation.

INSTALL THE MOTION SENSOR

To avoid false alarms, consider the following before installing the sensor:

  • Do not position the sensor facing the windows or doors.
  • Do not position the sensor facing moving objects
  • Do not position the sensor near the source of cold or hot air
  • Do not install 2 or more sensors in the same area, as this may cause interference
  • If the LED blinks, the battery is discharged. Replace the battery.
  • The maximum detection distance is 8 meters and the maximum transmission distance is 80 meters. The presence of obstacles reduces this distance. Carefully choose the location of the sensor installation.

Notes:

  • If the central unit’s LED flashes permanently, it means that it is not connected to WiFi
  • Arm: sound and light alarm
  • Home arm: only light alarm
  • Disarm: SOS alarm is available
  • Remote controls supported: maximum 8
  • Sensors supported: maximum 24
  • Adjustable beep duration: from 1 to 180 seconds
  • Accessories frequency: 433MHz
