Product Usage Instructions
Important Notice
- When plugged into your PC, the C82 is recognized as a USB sound card/USB speaker, not as Bluetooth.
- This device is for audio transmission only and does not work with mice, keyboards, or game controllers.
- For minimum audio delay, ensure your Bluetooth headphones/speakers support aptX Low latency or aptX Adaptive.
Button Functions
- Multifunctional button (MFB): Press & hold for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode, click once to reconnect, double-click to clear pairing history, and double-click when connected to switch betweenmusic and talk mode.
LED Indicators
- Indicator flashes in different patterns to indicate various statuses such as pairing, reconnecting, connected, streaming audio codecs, talk mode, and more.
Pairing & Connecting
- Plug the C82 into a USB C port. It will automatically enter pairing mode with specific LED flashes. If not, manually enter pairing mode by pressing & holding the MFB.
- Prompt your Headphones/Speaker into Bluetooth Pairing Mode.
- Bring the devices close together and wait for connection. The LED will indicate a solid blue light when connected.
Use with PC
- Set Avantalk C82 as the default audio input/output device on your PC.
- Follow the Pairing & Connecting steps to connect your headphones and PC.
Use with PS5
- Plug the C82 into the PS5’s USB C port and follow the Pairing & Connecting instructions to connect your Bluetooth headphones.
- Ensure Bluetooth is disabled on other devices to prevent accidental connections.
- Set the Audio Mode accordingly.
Note:
A solid white LED indicates talk mode, while a blue LED indicates music
mode. The C82 will auto-switch between these modes or manually swap by double-
clicking the MFB button.

Important Notice
- NO BLUETOOTH icon will appear on the Taskbar when the C82 is plugged into your PC. It should be recognized as a USB sound card / USB speaker.
- This device does NOT work with mice, keyboards, or game controllers. It is for audio transmission only.
- For minimum audio delay, please ensure that your Bluetooth headphones / speaker supports either aptX Low latency or aptX Adaptive. Otherwise, you will get 150~250ms delay.

Pairing & Connecting
- Plug the C82 into a USB C port. On first time use, the C82 will automatically enter pairing mode with the LED flashing BLUE & ORANGE. If not, manually enter the C82 into pairing mode: Press & Hold the MFB until the LED flashes BLUE & ORANGE.
- Put your Headphones/Speaker into “Bluetooth Pairing Mode”. Please refer to your device’s user manual for more information.
- Put the devices close to each other and wait. Once connected, the LED on the C82 will turn SOLID BLUE.
Use with PC
STEP 1 Choose “Avantalk C82” as the default audio input / output device.
STEP 2 Follow “5 Pairing & Connecting” to connect your headphones and PC.
STEP 3
For VoIP Calls – please repeat Step 2 in your meeting software (i.e. Teams.
Zoom, Skype, etc.)
NOTE:
A SOLID WHITE LED indicates talk mode. A BLUE LED indicates music mode. The
C82 will auto-switch between talk & music modes. You can also manually swap
modes by double-clicking the dongle’s MFB button.
Use with PS5

STEP 1 Plug the C82 into the PS5’s USB C port and follow “5 Pairing & Connecting” instructions to connect your Bluetooth headphones.
NOTE: -
The pairing / connection happens through the C82, not your PS5, so it won’t show up in “Bluetooth accessories”.

Ensure Bluetooth is disabled on devices like your phone or smartwatch to prevent accidental connection.

Ensure the headphones are Bluetooth as some headphones like “Sony PULSE 3D” or “Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2” use 2.4G technology and cannot connect to phones or the C82.

STEP 2 Set the Audio Mode

When using the dongle in talk mode with headphones, you’ll experience a drop in audio quality due to current limitations with Bluetooth Technology. If you’re concerned about this, you can use your PS5 controller’s mic instead and set the dongle to music mode, Double-click the dongle’s MFB to enter music mode for the best audio quality. A BLUE LED indicates music mode. Or, if you don’t need to chat and only need game audio, likewise set the dongle to music mode.

If you want to chat with your teammate using your headphones’ mic, the C82 should enter talk mode by default. A SOLID WHITE LED indicates talk mode. You may find that the headphones’ volume and audio quality drops in talk mode. This is due to a technological limitation with BT.
