Product Usage Instructions

To use the ATB2012V type balun transformers, follow these instructions:

  1. Ensure that you have the proper delivery specifications for detailed features and specifications of the product.
  2. Check the frequency range requirement of your application and confirm that it falls within the specified range of 50 to 1000 MHz.
  3. Verify the input impedance requirement and ensure it matches the 75 ohms impedance of the transformer.
  4. Consider the insertion loss specification and make sure it does not exceed 1.2 dB for your intended use.
  5. Take note of the DC resistance and ensure it does not exceed 0.7 ohms.
  6. Check the rated current and confirm that it meets your application’s requirements.
  7. Use the specified measurement equipment to measure parameters such as DC resistance, insulation resistance, insertion loss, return loss, amplitude imbalance, and phase balance if needed.
  8. Ensure that the rated voltage does not exceed 20 V.
  9. Consider the recommended land pattern for PCB layout and follow it for proper mounting of the balun transformer.
  10. Refer to the recommended reflow profile for soldering guidelines during assembly.
  11. Store the product within the specified temperature range for proper storage conditions.

Please note that it is important to request delivery specifications for comprehensive information and to ensure proper and safe use of the product. Additionally, be aware that the contents of the manual may change without prior notice due to upgrades or other reasons.

REMINDERS FOR USING THESE PRODUCTS

  • Before using these products, be sure to request the delivery specifications.

SAFETY REMINDERS

Please pay sufficient attention to the warnings for safe designing when using this products.

REMINDERS

  • The storage period is within 6 months. Be sure to follow the storage conditions (temperature: 5 to 40°C, humidity: 10 to 75% RH or less).
  • If the storage period elapses, the soldering of the terminal electrodes may deteriorate.
  • Do not use or store in locations where there are conditions such as gas corrosion (salt, acid, alkali, etc.).
  • Before soldering, be sure to preheat components.
  • The preheating temperature should be set so that the temperature difference between the solder temperature and chip temperature does not exceed 150°C.
  • Soldering corrections after mounting should be within the range of the conditions determined in the specifications.
  • If overheated, a short circuit, performance deterioration, or lifespan shortening may occur.
  • When embedding a printed circuit board where a chip is mounted to a set, be sure that residual stress is not given to the chip due to the overall distortion of the printed circuit board and partial distortion such as at screw tightening portions.
  • Self heating (temperature increase) occurs when the power is turned ON, so the tolerance should be sufficient for the set thermal design.
  • Carefully lay out the coil for the circuit board design of the non-magnetic shield type.
  • A malfunction may occur due to magnetic interference.
  • Use a wrist band to discharge static electricity in your body through the grounding wire.
  • Do not expose the products to magnets or magnetic fields.
  • Do not use for a purpose outside of the contents regulated in the delivery specifications.
