What in Box
Basic safety instructions
- The appliance is intended to be used in households only and similar environments like:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments
- in farmhouses
- by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments
- on bed and breakfast type environments.
- Repairs of Cloer electronic appliances should be carried out only by authorized Cloer specialist dealers or by the Cloer customer service.
- Improper repairs can involve substantial dangers for the user. Moreover, it will void your warranty claims.
- Operate the appliance only at household-usual power sockets. Check if the mains voltage stated on the type plate is the same that your power supply network.
- The device must be connected to a power outlet with protective ground.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Cloer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid any hazards.
- Pull power plug of the power socket
- in case of a defect.
- if the appliance is not used for a longer time.
- before any cleaning.
- Only pull out at the plug, never at the feed cable.
- Do not tighten the feed cable too tight as otherwise, the appliance is likely to tip over.
- Do not stretch the feed cable over sharp edges.
- Do not use the feed cable for carrying and protecting it from heat (hotplate open flame).
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge can use the product if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Do not leave children unattended to ensure they do not play with the appliance
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Protect your appliance from humidity (splash water/rain
- Let the appliance cool off before cleaning or stowing away.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water. Decalcify the heat plate on a regular basis. More information about cleaning on page 8.
- Use the appliance only to cook eggs. Incorrect use may cause serious injuries.
- After use, the heating element of the device will still give off residual heat, the risk of burns!
- Avoid injuries due to misuse of egg piercer in the measuring cup.
Positioning and connection

Remove all packaging materials and maybe stickers, not the type plate.

Put egg boiler on a dry, non-slip and even base.
Before first use -
Kindly read these instructions carefully before using it for the first time.

Clean the surface of the heating unit, the cover and the egg carrier by means of a damp cloth. Safety instructions for applying the egg boiler The appliance meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives.
The appliance is intended for in door use only. -
Fill in cold water only.

When filling in the water quantity keep to the marking on the measuring cup.

Attention! During the boiling process hot steam escapes out of the lid.

In operation the appliance gets hot. The lid shall be opened via handle 1 minute after the beep sound to avoid get burn by steam.

Do not switch on the appliance if no water is filled in.
-
Do not fill in more water than MAX, with the maxi-mum water quantity marked on the measuring cup by the marking „1 hard “.
-
The water quantities on the measuring cup are guide numbers, smaller variances can occur because of size, age and temperature of the eggs.

Attention! There is a sharp spike at the underside of the measuring cup which serves as the egg pick.

Avoid injuries from egg picker.
-
Decalcify the appliance regularly (s. cleaning/decalcification). ATTENTION! Always unglug appliance before cleaning and when not in use!
Starting-up -
In this egg boiler you can boil one to six eggs at the same time.

Remove the cover from the appliance.
-
You can choose between soft, medium and hard eggs.
-
Ascertain the water quantity depending on the number of eggs and the requested hardness.
-
You can ascertain this by means of the filling quantity marking on the measuring cup.
-
Fill the appliance with the measured water quantity.
-
See to it that the maximum water quantity thereby is not exceeded as otherwise, the water is likely to boil over. The danger of burn!

To avoid the eggs splitting during boiling, prick the eggs by means of the egg pick which you can find at the underside of the measuring cup.

Put eggs on the egg carrier.
-
Set the lid on the appliance.
-
Put power plug-in power socket.
-
Now switch on „Cook“ or „Cook“ with audible signals
-
The control lamp lights up.
-
If you set on „Cook“ there does not appear a signal at the end. If the water is evaporated, the eggs are ready.

If you set on „Cook“ with audible signals, an audible signal appears once the eggs are ready.

Now turn the regulator on „Off“.

The control lamp lights off.

Pull the power plug.
-
Remove lid carefully. To do so, take the cover at the right and left handle.

Take the eggs out of the appliance and run the eggs under cold water.

overheating protection system
The egg boiler is provided with an overheating protection system that in case of improper operation protects the appliance against damages. If the appliance is operated without water by mistake, there appears a beep after some seconds and the overheating safety system turns the thermostat off. In this case, pull the power plug and let the appliance cool off for some minutes before operating it again (Attention! Do not pour water on the hot heating unit). Temperature protection system Apart from the automatic overheating protection system the egg boiler is additionally provided with a temperature protection system. If the overheating protection fails in case of improper operation, the temperature protection system separates the appliance from the current entry. In this case you will have to bring your egg boiler to the Cloer specialist dealer or Cloer customer service as a repeated starting-up is not possible anymore.
Cleaning / decalcification
Calcification on the heating unit has a negative effect on the functioning of the appliance. This is why the appliance should be regularly decalcified. For decalcification, add a dash of vinegar to the water. Fill the vinegar water into the heating unit and let it boil away without lid. After that, clean the heating unit by means of a damp, soft cloth.
Customer service
In the event that your Cloer appliance becomes defective, please contact your Cloer dealer or Cloer customer service department. Cloer electrical appliances comply with current EC guidelines and safety regulations.
Conditions of warranty
Cloer grants you, the private end-user, a limited manufacturer’s warranty.
Assuming careful handling and compliance with the operating instructions and
safety notices, we will be obligated to replace the appliance at no cost,
insofar as there are defects in material or workmanship. The repair will be
effected by repairing or replacing defective components. Any parts replaced
will become the property of Cloer. All further claims of any type, especially
claims for indemnification, are not valid. This warranty does not affect any
rights of the customer with respect to the sale of goods in accordance with
the applicable national laws. The warranty period is 2 years starting from the
date on which the product was first purchased by an end consumer. The warranty
period will not be extended or begin anew or in any other way be affected by
the subsequent sale, repair or replacement of the product. This warranty is
passed on to you by your retail dealer. In order to assert a warranty claim,
please contact your dealer directly. If you have questions about your product,

As proof of warranty entitlement, you must submit the original sales receipt
with the date of sale and the dealer’s address. Without the sales receipt, the
repair will be carried out at your expense without asking. The warranty does
not cover damages resulting from
- improper use,
- natural wear and tear,
- external influences (e.g. damage from transport, shocks, jolts, heat, acids, etc.),
- insufficient decalcifying *
- or unsuitable accessories. The warranty will be void if the appliance
- is used commercially,
- is opened or modified without authorisation
- or if unauthorised repairs are attempted.
