PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Control panel overview

| Function| Description
---|---|---
1| Lamp| Turns the lights on and off.
2| First speed / Off| The motor switches to first speed level. Second press turns off the appliance.
3| Second speed| The motor switches to second speed level.
4| Third speed| The motor switches to third speed level.
5| Maximum speed| The motor switches to maximum speed level. After 5 minutes appliance switches to third speed.
6| Filter notification| Reminds to change or clean the charcoal filter and clean the grease filter.
7| Hob²Hood| Indicator of the function to control hood from hob. For some models the symbol present on the control panel.

DAILY USE

Using the hood Check the recommended speedaccording to the table below.

  While heating up food, cooking with covered pots.

    While cooking with covered pots on multiple cooking zones or burners, gentle frying.
   While boiling and frying big quantities of food without a lid, cooking on multiple cooking zones or burners.
    While boiling and frying big quantities of food without a lid, big humidity.

It is recommended to leavethe hood operating forapproximately 15 minutesafter cooking.

To operate the hood

  1. Press the first speed button to switch on the appliance.
  2. If needed, change the speed bypressing the desired button.

The hoods light worksindependently to other hoodfunctions. To illuminate thecooking surface press thelight button.

To turn off the appliance press the firstspeed button again.

Hob²Hood function

functionIt is an automatic function whichconnects the hob with a hood. Both thehob and the hood have an infrared signalcommunicator. Speed of the fan isdefined automatically on basis of modesetting and temperature of the hottestcookware on the hob. You can alsooperate the fan using the hob manually.The function can be activated from panelof the hob.For more information how touse the function refer to thehob user manual.

Filter notification Filter alarm reminds to change or cleanthe charcoal filter and clean the greasefilter. The filter indicator is turned onfor 30 seconds if the grease filter mustbe cleaned. The filter indicator flashesfor 30 seconds if the charcoal filter mustbe replaced or cleaned.

CARE AND CLEANING

Notes on cleaning

| Do not use abrasive detergents and brushes.

Clean the surface of the appliance with a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent.

After cooking some parts of appliance can get hot. To avoid stains appliance must be cooled down and dried with clean cloth or paper towels.
Clean stains with a mild detergent.

Refer to cleaning thecharcoal filter or replacingthe charcoal filter in care andcleaning chapter.

To reset the function press the button for 3 seconds.

To activate or deactivate function

  1. To activate function press the button for 3 seconds.If the function is activated, the indicator flashes two times.
  2. To deactivate function press thebutton for 3 seconds.If the function is deactivated, theindicator flashes ones.

Remote-control

The appliance is supplied with a remote-control.

The connection is originally enabled.

To connect or disconnect remote-control

  1. Switch off the appliance.
  2. Press the for 3 seconds.The indicator on control panel flashestwice if function is enabled and once ifdisabled.

Clean the appliance and grease filters each month. Clean the inte‐rior and grease filters carefully from fat. Fat accumulation or otherresidue may cause fire.Follow the instructions for cleaning the accessories when filter noti‐fication is on. Refer to Filter notification in daily use chapter.

Grease filters can be washed in a dishwasher.The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cy‐cle. The grease filter may discolour, it has no influence on the per‐formance of the appliance.

The time of saturation of the charcoal filter varies depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning the grease filter.

Charcoal filter is washable, clean or regenerate the filter after ap‐ proximately every two months. Refer to leaflet included in the ac‐

Cleaning the grease filter

filterFilters are mounted with the use of clipsand pins on the opposite side.

To clean the filter

  1. Pull the cover to open it.
  2. Press the handle of the mounting clipon the filter panel underneath thehood (1).
  3. Slightly tilt the front of the filterdownwards (2), then pull.Repeat the first two steps for all filters.
  4. Clean the filters using a sponge withnon abrasive detergents or in adishwasher.
  5. The dishwasher must be setto a low temperature and ashort cycle. The grease filtermay discolour, it has noinfluence on theperformance of theappliance.
  6. To mount the filters back follow thefirst two steps in reverse order.Repeat the steps for all filters inapplicable.

Cleaning the charcoal filter

To remove the filter:

  1. Remove the grease filters from theappliance.Refer to “Cleaning the grease filter” inthis chapter.
  2. Remove the clips holding the filterbed (1), then the filter bed (2).
  3. Wash the filter bed in hot waterwithout using detergent or use adishwasher.

Set the dishwasher withoutusing rinse aids or any otherdetergents. The dishwashercannot be filled with dishes.

Leave the filter bed to dry or use anoven.

WARNING! Risk of burns! Refer tosafety chapter in oven usermanual.

Set the oven for 10 minutes in themaximum temperature of 60°C.

To install the filter, perform the stepsin reverse order. The filter has to befully dried before installing it back intoappliance.Replace the filter bed every 2 years orwhen the cloth is damaged.

Replacing the lamp

lampThis appliance is supplied with a LEDlamp and separate control gear (LEDdriver). These parts can be replaced by atechnician only. In case of anymalfunction refer to “Service” in the”Safety Instructions” chapter.
