Read these instructions carefully before switching on the appliance and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow and observe these instructions could lead to an accident.

SAFETY Instruction

SAFETY ADVICE AND WARNINGS

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and under-stand the hazards involved.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised.
  • This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply mains before start any installation or assembly operation.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains before undertaking any cleaning task. Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply mains before removing the guard.
  • If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be replaced, take the appliance to an authorised technical support service. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance by yourself in order to avoid a hazard.
  • This appliance is for household use only, not professional, industrial use.
  • Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
  • Connect the appliance to a socket that can supply a minimum of 10 amperes.
  • The appliance’s plug must fit into the mains socket prop-erly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors.
  • The appliance must only be used with the stand provided.
  • The appliance must be used and placed on a flat, stable surface.
  • Do not use the appliance in association with a program-mer, timer or other device that automatically switches it on.
  • Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.
  • If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the possibility of an electric shock.
  • Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor or if there are visible signs of damage.
  • Do not force the power cord. Never use the power cord to lift up, carry or unplug the appliance.
  • Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
  • Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
  • The appliance is not suitable for outdoor use.
  • Supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of damage, and if the cord is damaged, the appliance must not be used.
  • Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
  •  Do not leave the appliance out in the rain or exposed to moisture. If water gets into the appliance, this will increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
  • Do not touch any of the appliance’s moving parts while it is operating.

USE AND CARE:

  • Fully extend the appliance’s power cable before each use.
  • Do not use the appliance if the on/off switch does not work.
  • Do not move the appliance while in use. Do not use the appliance if it is tipped up and do not turn it over.
  • Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or connected to the mains.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in use and before undertaking any cleaning task.
  • Store this appliance out of the reach of children and/or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge.
  • Keep the appliance in a dry, dust-free place, out of direct sunlight.
  • Make sure that dust, dirt or other foreign objects do not block the fan grill on the appliance.
  • Keep the appliance in good condition. Check that the moving parts are not misaligned or jammed and make sure there are no broken parts or anomalies that may prevent the appliance from operating correctly.
  • Never leave the appliance connected and unattended if is not in use. This saves energy and prolongs the life of the appliance.
  • Do not use the appliance to dry pets or animals.
  • Do not use the appliance to dry textiles of any kind.

Service:

  • Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.

(**) In case you do not see this piece, before contacting our technical service make sure that it is not located inside the piece N. Take it out carefully to avoid damaging it. If the model of your appliance does not have the accessories described above, they can also be bought separately from the Technical Assistance Service.

Installation

  • Be sure to remove all packaging material from inside the appliance.
  • Ensure that the appliance is level with respect to the floor.
  • The plug must be easily accessible so it can be disconnected in an emergency.
  • The appliance should be used with its base fitted.

Assembling the batteries

  • Caution: During the handling of batteries, do not touch both poles at the same time, as this will provoke the partial discharge of the stored energy therefore affecting longevity.
  • Remove the cover of the battery compartment.
  • Check that the plastic covering that protects the battery has been removed (some batteries are sold with a protective covering).
  • Put the battery in its compartment, respecting the polarity.
  • WARNING: Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced.
  • WARNING: DO NOT INGEST THE BATTERY; CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD. This product contains a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed it can cause several internal burns in just two hours and can lead to death.
  • Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
  •  If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
  • If the coin cell battery contents come into contact with the skin, immediately wash the area with mild soap and water. If coin cell battery liquid gets into the eyes, rinse them with water over the open eye for 15 minutes or until irritation ceases. If medical attention is needed, the battery electrolyte is composed of an organic solvent and lithium salts.
  •  Do not incinerate or dispose of tool together with household waste material! Tool that has reached the end of its life must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
Assembling the FAN:
  • Attach the bottom tube (N) to the base (O) and fix it with the plastic nut (P).

  • Loosen the tube-fixing bolt (M) and carefully pull up the adjustable tube (L). Tighten the bolt (M) again so the adjustable tube is fixed at its highest position.

  • Loosen the bolt (J) on the fan head. Fit the fan head (H) and the adjustable tube (L) together and tighten the bolt
    (J) again.

  • Remove the grill fastentnut (D) and blade fasten nut (B) from the motor shaft (F).

  • Attach the back grill (E) to the motor cover (G) and fix it with the grill fasten nut (D).

  • Attach the blades to the motor shaft (F) and fix it with the blade fasten nut (B).

  • Attach the front grill (A) to the back grill (E). Use the grill ring to carefully hold them together and lock them using the screw provided on the grill buckle.

  • Check the correct functioning of the fan.

ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT

  • The height of this fan can be adjusted from approximate-ly 110cm to 135cm.
  • To adjust the height simply loosen the tube fixing bolt (M). Move the adjusting tube (L) to the desired position and tighten the bolt (M) again.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before use:

  • Make sure that all products’ packaging has been removed.
  • Prepare the appliance according to the function you wish to use:

Use:

  • Extend the cable completely before plugging it in.
  • Connect the appliance to the mains.
  • Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off button (7/e).
  • Select the desired speed.

Fan function:

  • Select the desired ventilation speed by pressing the speed button (6/a).
  • The selected speed will appear on the LED display (1).

Timer function:

  • The appliance’s operating time can be controlled (1-15h).
  • To program the operating time simply select it using the timer button (4/c). For every press the time will be increased 1 hour.
  • The time programmed will appear on the LED display (1), and the timer pilot light will turn on.
  • After the selected time the appliance will switch off automatically.

Oscillation function:

  • The oscillation function makes it possible to direct the flow from the apparatus so that it automatically alter-nates over a range of approximately 85º.
  • To activate this function, press the oscillation button (3/d).
  • The oscillation pilot light will turn on.
  • To deactivate this function, press the oscillation button again.

WIND MODES:

  • This model has three wind modes:
  • Normal: The fan operates constantly at the selected speed.
  • Breeze: The fan alternates periods of more and less power, simulating the feeling of a soft breeze. The amplitude of these shifts depends on the speed selected.
  • Night: When the fan is at speed 3, it runs at speed 3 for 30 minutes, then at speed 2 for 30 more minutes and finally at speed 1 until it is turned off or timer runs out. When the fan is at speed 2, it runs at speed 2 for 30 minutes and then it keeps running at low speed until it is turned off or timer runs out. When the fan is at speed 1, it simply keeps running at speed 1 until it is turned off or timer runs out.
  • To activate this function, press the modes button (5/b). The modes pilot lights will show which mode is selected.

Once you have finished using the appliance:

  • Turn the appliance off using the on/off button (7/e).
  • Unplug the appliance from the mains.
  • Clean the appliance.

CLEANING

  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
  • Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
  • Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not let water or any other liquid get into the air vents to avoid damage to the inner parts of the appliance. Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.
  • If the appliance is not in good condition of cleanliness, its surface may degrade and inexorably affect the duration of the appliance’s useful life and could become unsafe to use.

ANOMALIES AND REPAIR

  • Take the appliance to an authorized technical support service if product is damaged or other problems arise. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance yourself as this may be dangerous.

Ecology and recyclability of the product

  • The materials of which the packaging of this appliance consists are included in a collection, classification and recycling system. Should you wish to dispose of them, use the appropriate public recycling bins for each type of material.
  • The product does not contain concentrations of substances that could be considered harmful to the environment.

This symbol means that in case you wish to dispose of the product once its working life has ended; take it to an authorized waste agent for the selective collection of Waste from Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

This symbol means that product may include a battery or batteries; user must to remove them before disposing of the product. Remember that batteries must be disposed of in duly authorized containers. Do not dispose of them in fire.
