Storage Center Management Pack Version 4.1
The Storage Center Management Pack Version 4.1 is a software tool designed to enhance the functionality of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager. It provides support for Dell Storage Manager and System Center Virtual Machine Manager, allowing users to monitor and manage their storage systems and virtual machines efficiently. The latest release, version 4.1, includes new features and enhancements to improve the user experience.

Installation Requirements
In order to install and use the Storage Center Management Pack Version 4.1, the following requirements must be met:
Microsoft System Center Operations Manager
- Supported Versions: SCOM 2012 R2, SCOM 2016, SCOM 2019
TLS 1.2 Protocol
To use Storage Manager 2018 and later versions, the server must have TLS 1.2 Protocol support. Please refer to the article “TLS 1.2 Protocol Support Deployment Guide for System Center 2012 R2” for the prerequisites.
Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
- Supported Versions: SCVMM 2012 R2, SCVMM 2016, SCVMM 2019
Storage Manager
- Supported Versions: Dell Storage Manager 2016 R1, Dell Storage Manager 2018 R1, Dell Storage Manager 2019 R1
Storage Center Operating System
The version of the Storage Center Operating System must be compatible with the supported version of Storage Manager.
Dell EMC Storage Systems
The following storage systems are supported:
- SCv2000 series
- SCv3000 series
- SC4020
- SC5020/SC5020F
- SC7020/SC7020F
- SC8000
- SC9000
Operating System
The following Windows Server operating system versions are supported:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2
- Microsoft Windows Server 2016
- Microsoft Windows Server 2019
Microsoft .NET Framework
The system must have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or later installed.
Processor
The system must have an x64 processor.
Memory
Please refer to the System Center documentation website for the latest memory requirements.
Network Connection
A Gigabit Ethernet connection is highly recommended by Dell EMC. The server must have visibility to each monitored Storage Center.
TCP Port
By default, port 3033 is used for communication between the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Provider and the Storage Manager Data Collector.
Server
The server must be monitored by SCOM and have a monitoring agent installed.
Product Usage Instructions
To use the Storage Center Management Pack Version 4.1, follow these steps:
- Ensure that your server meets all the installation requirements mentioned above.
- If you are upgrading from version 4.0.1 to 4.1 and using SCOM 2012 R2, note that the upgrade is not required as there are no new features added in the 4.1 release for SCOM 2012 R2.
- Download the Storage Center Management Pack Version 4.1 from the official Dell website or any authorized distribution channel.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
- Once the installation is complete, launch Microsoft System Center Operations Manager.
- Configure the necessary settings and credentials to connect to the Storage Manager and System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
- Start monitoring and managing your storage systems and virtual machines using the features provided by the Storage Center Management Pack.
Known Issues
The following known issue exists in this release:

Installation Requirements
The following table provides the installation requirements for the Storage
Center Management Pack Version 4.1.
NOTE: The Management pack upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.1 is not required for
SCOM 2012 R2 as there are no new features added in SCOM 4.1 release.

running the version 4.0.1 installer does not prompt for the update. Instead, it proceeds with the update because it is
a minor build update. After the update completes, verify in Add/Remove programs that the version number is updated to version 4.0.1.
