FAQ

  1. Does Spruce need to be plugged into the wall to charge devices?
Yes. To ensure the full effect of hi-speed charging, the Spruce needs to be plugged into the wall socket. Spruce does not contain a battery and/or power storage function.

  2. Does the Spruce make a sound when the phone is placed on the charger?
No. Your Spruce is very quiet and does not make a special sound when a phone is placed on it.

  3. Can the blue power be shut off?
No. The blue power light is a safety feature and is always on while your Spruce is plugged into the wall.

  4. Will my charger become hot?
Likely not. Your Spruce has been designed to prevent overheating. The GaN semiconductor also significantly reduces this issue. Contact us if your charger becomes hot and we will replace it. Please note that if you’re charging many devices at once for a long time, the charger may become about as warm as the palm of your hand (but not hot).

  5. Will my smartphone’s case or PopSocket interfere with the wireless charging?
The wireless pad will typically work with all cases, however, particularly thick cases or adornments may necessitate charging with a wired connection. Cases less than 0.20 inches / 5mm thick should always charge. Mophie cases do not allow wireless charging.

  6. How many devices can be charged at the same time?
6Your Spruce can charge up to five devices at a time, including four wired ports and a hi-speed wireless charging pad for a smartphone or other wireless- enabled device. Spruce can charge up to 2 laptops at the same time while both are in use. Your results may vary if you try to charge 3 or more laptops. Be sure to use the C1 port for the device that needs the most power. Lower power- consuming devices should then be plugged into the C2 or C3 ports. The wireless charging pad can charge one device at a time.

  7. Can I charge my Apple Watch wirelessly?
No. Apple Watch requires a special magnetic charging cable, which can be attached to one of Spruce’s four wired ports.

  8. Can I charge my tablet wirelessly?
We do not recommend it as we have not tested this and your tablet might fall over. Tablets can always be charged by plugging into one of Spruce’s four wired ports.
Can I use an AC cable that matches

  9. my home country’s outlets?
We haven’t tested this in all countries, but it is certified safe in most major markets, including the USA, Canada, the UK, the EU, and Japan.

  10. Is Spruce certified safe?
Yes. Spruce is certified safe in most major markets, including the USA, Canada, the UK, the EU, and Japan.
