Product Information

The product is the SM-T300i printer manufactured by Star Micronics Southeast Asia Co., Ltd. It is a portable printer that supports two modes of emulation – ESC/POS mode and StarPRNT mode. The printer can be connected to Android devices using the StarPRNT SDK (Java).

Product Usage Instructions

1. Turn on the power of the printer and open the printer cover.
2. Press and hold the Mode’ andFeed’ buttons simultaneously until the Error light flashes 5 times, then release the buttons.
3. Close the printer cover. The printer will automatically switch  emulation and print out. The EMU value will indicate the currentemulation mode: ESC/POS (ESC/POS Mode) or StarPRNT (StarPRNT Mode).

Setting Port in the SDK: To set the port in the StarPRNT SDK for SM- T300i, follow these steps:

1. Download the Android StarPRNT SDK (Java) from this link: https://starmicronics.com/support/developers/android-sdks/

INSTRUCTION

How to switch emulation between ESC/POS and StarPRNT mode for SM-T300i

1. Turn power printer ON and open printer cover. (Insert the paper while open printer cover)
2. Press and hold ‘Mode’ and ‘Feed’ button then Error light will be flashing 5 times, and release buttons.
3. Close the printer cover, then printer will be automatic switch emulation and printing out.
4. EMU = ESC/POS (ESC/POS Mode)
5. EMU = StarPRNT (StarPRNT Mode)

• Refer > port = StarIOPort.getPort(portName, portSettings, 10000, context);
• portName Parameter: “BT”
• portSetting Parameter: “Portable”
