INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 

12-5002 Billet Radiator Guards

  1. Using an 8mm T-Handle or Socket, remove the upper two bolts on radiator shroud. Using a 10mm T-Handle or Socket remove the bottom shroud bolt.
  2. Using a 10mm T-Handle or socket remove the upper radiator Louver bolt. (FIG 1)
  3. By pressing inward and forward at the same time, remove the radiator louver.
  4. Using an 8mm T-Handle or socket, remove the Radiator mounting bolts. (FIG 2) Keep the bolts handy and set the washers aside.
  5. Take one of the inner guard mounts (12-5002-02) and line it up with the radiator mounting holes with the machined part number facing the frame and the front guard mounting holes facing forward. Using the OEM Radiator mounting bolts removed in step 4, thread them through the inner guard mount, through radiator mounting tabs and into the frame. Tighten using an 8mm THandle or socket. (FIG 3)
  6. Take two of the provide clip nuts and clip them over the top and bottom tabs on the outer edge of the radiator.
  7. Line up one of the outer guard mounts (12-5002-03) with the outer tabs on the radiator. Make sure the front guard mounting holes are facing forward.
  8. Take two of the provided Flat head Allen bolts and thread them through the two middle tabs on the radiator from the inside towards out. (FIG 4) Leave them loose for now.

  10. Take 1 of the provided M6x12 hex head bolts and thread it through the upper hole of the outer guard mount and into the top clip nut. Tighten using an 8mm T-handle or socket. (FIG 5)
  11. Tighten both flat head Allen bolts started in step 8 using a 4mm Allen wrench. (FIG 6)
  12. Line up the front guard plate on the outer and inner guard mounts holes. Using 7 of the provided 5×12 socket head bolts thread them by hand through the front plate and into the mounting holes. There are 3 outer and 4 inner. Start all 7 before tightening. (FIG 7)
  13. Using a 4mm Allen wrench, tighten all 7 socket head bolts. (FIG 8)
  14. Reinstall the radiator shroud. Use the OEM bolts for the top two mounting holes into the tank. Use 1 of the provided M6x20 hex head bolts with a provided washer for the bottom mounting hole. Tighten all three using an 8mm T-Handle or Socket.
  15. Repeat steps 1-14 on the opposite side.
