Medtronic InPen App Compatibility
Product Information The InPenTM is a smart insulin pen that helps individuals with diabetes manage their insulin doses effectively. It works in conjunction with the InPen app, which is compatible with select Apple and Android devices.
Compatibility Guide
The InPen is compatible with devices that meet the following minimum
requirements:
- Apple: Devices with iOSTM 10 and higher
- Android: Devices with compatible specifications
Determining Android Compatibility
To check if your Android device is compatible with the InPen app, follow
these steps:
- On your Android device, open the Google Play Store.
- Search for “InPen” in the Play Store. If the InPen app is visible in the search results, it means your device is compatible.
- Install the InPen app from the Play Store.
- Open the InPen app. It will automatically check if your device’s screen resolution meets the minimum requirements.
- If you see a login screen, it means the app is ready for use on your device.
Note: The InPen app is not compatible with the following device(s): LG Stylo. Additionally, Google PixelTM 4 and 5 users running AndroidTM OS 13 may need to reboot their phone when pairing a new InPen.

- Devices with AndroidTM Operating System 6.0 and greater
- Devices with screen resolution 720×1280 and greater
- Tablets are not supported
How can I determine if my AndroidTM phone is compatible?
On your AndroidTM device, visit Google Play Store. If the InPen app is visible in the Play Store, install it. If the InPen app is not visible in the Play Store, the device does not meet minimum requirements to install the app. Once app is installed, Open the InPen App. Upon opening the app, it will check to make sure the screen resolution meets minimum requirements. If you are presented with a login screen, the app is ready for use.
Note: The following device(s) are not compatible with the InPen App: LG Stylo
- Google Pixel™ 4 and 5 users running AndroidTM OS 13 may be required to reboot their phone when pairing a new InPen.
