vtech Shake It Bluey
Product Information
The Shake It Bluey toy is a fun and interactive toy that offers five different movements with sounds. It is designed for real-life play and comes with various features and modes to keep children engaged. The toy includes a turn head, nose button, wave arm, bop body, shake shaker, light-up tummy, off/mode switch, volume switch, battery door, and a speaker. It operates on 2 AAA batteries (recommended: alkaline or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries). The toy also has an automatic shut-off feature to preserve battery life.

Important Battery Information
Adult assembly is required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of
reach of children. Dispose of batteries and the product properly according to
local regulations.
Product Usage Instructions
Battery Removal and Installation
- Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
- Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit.
- Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.
- If used batteries are present, remove them by pulling up on one end of each battery.
- Install 2 new AAA (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. For best performance, use alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.
- Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure it.
WARNING: Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Activate Normal Play Mode
The product is in Try-Me mode in the packaging. To switch to normal play mode:
- Turn the toy ON.
- Slide the Volume Switch from High to Low.
- You will hear two du sounds and Bluey’s tummy will flash twice, indicating normal play mode is activated.
Product Features
- Off/Mode Switch: Slide the switch to Free-Play mode or Follow Me mode to turn the unit On and start playing. To turn the unit Off, slide the selector to Off.
- Turn Head: Turn Bluey’s head left and right to hear fun responses.
- Press Nose: Press Bluey’s nose to hear her sniff and sneeze.
- Wave Arm: Wave Bluey’s right arm to hear fun responses.
- Shake Shaker: Shake the shaker to hear sounds and melodies.
- Bop Body: Bop Bluey’s body to count and listen to melodies.
- Light Up Tummy: See Bluey’s tummy light up with sounds and music.
- Volume Switch: Adjust the volume by switching to Low/High position.
- Automatic Shut-Off: The toy will shut off automatically after several minutes without input to preserve battery life. It can be turned on again by sliding the Off/Mode Switch. The toy will also automatically turn off when the batteries are low, indicated by Bluey’s tummy flashing three times as a reminder to change the batteries.
Activities
- Free Play Mode: In this mode, press a button or move Bluey’s body to activate sounds, phrases, and music.
- Follow Me Mode: In this mode, follow the directions accompanied by upbeat music to play. There are three progressive levels that allow less time for input as the level increases.
Care & Maintenance
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight or direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period of time.
- Avoid dropping the unit on hard surfaces and keep it away from moisture or water.

This toy has five fun movements with sounds. Let’s play a game together for
real life!

WARNING:
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable
tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and
should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE:
Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.
Unlock the Packaging Locks:
- Turn the packaging locks anticlockwise several times.
- Pull out and discard the packaging locks.
INSTRUCTIONS
BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
- Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
- Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.
- If used batteries are present, remove these batteries from the unit by pulling up on one end of each battery.
- Install 2 new ‘AAA’ (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended).
- Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
WARNING:

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Disposal of batteries and product
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or on their
respective packaging, indicates they must not be disposed of in domestic waste
as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human
health.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery
contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead
(Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market after 13th
August, 2005.
Please dispose of your product and batteries responsibly.
In the UK, give this toy a second life by disposing of it at a small
electricals collection point* so all of its materials can be recycled.

ACTIVATE NORMAL PLAY MODE
This product is in Try-Me mode in the packaging. When you play with Shake It
Bluey for the first time, turn the toy on then switch the Volume Switch from
High to Low. You will hear two “du” sounds and Bluey’s tummy will flash twice
to indicate normal play mode.

Automatic Shut-Off
To preserve battery life, Shake It Bluey will shut off automatically after several minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by sliding the Off/Mode Switch. The unit will also automatically turn off when the batteries are low. Bluey’s tummy will flash three times as a reminder to change the batteries.
NOTE
If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install a new set of batteries.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Please turn the unit OFF.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play with again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
