IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

Read all instructions before using this heater.

This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the heater.

Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children, pets or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating unattended.

If possible, always unplug this appliance when not in use.

o not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.

Any repairs to this appliance should be carried out by a qualified service person.

Use your heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water containers. Do not use your heater outdoors. Do not use near sinks, swimming pools or other damp areas such as flooded basements, garages, etc or anyplace where the heater could come in contact with water.

Do not place the heater on a small, unlevel, uneven or any surface which might allow heater to tip or fall.

Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.

To disconnect heater, first turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet. Always unplug the heater when not in use.

For proper operation, heater should be placed on a smooth, noncombustible surface. Do not place on rugs, carpet, vinyl flooring or other plastic surfaces. Not for use outdoors or in wet areas.

This heater is not designed as a primary heat source.

This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes, with the current CSA C22.0 Canadian Electrical codes or for USA installations, follow local codes or for USA installations, follow local codes and the National Electric code ANSI/NFPA No. 70.

Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electrical shock or fire or damage the heater.

To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.

This appliance has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored. This appliance should not be used as a drying rack for clothing, nor
should Christmas stockings or decorations be hung on or near it. -
Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

Always plug heaters directly into a properly grounded wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power strip.
“SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS”
POWER LIGHT:
This heater is equipped with a power indicator light. This light will
illuminate when unit is plugged in.
OVERHEAT SAFETY FEATURE:
This heater is equipped with an automatic overheat protection device located
inside the heater. If the heater grill is obstructed, or if the heater gets
too hot for any reason, the automatic overheat device will turn the heater
off. To reset the heater, simply turn off the power and unplug the heater,
remove any obstructions, leave unplugged for 10 minutes until it cools
completely. Then plug the heater back into outlet and turn unit on.
TIP-OVER SAFETY FEATURE
This heater is equipped with a safety tip-over device. Once the heater is
tipped over, an external switch located on the bottom of the heater will
automatically shut the heater off. Once the heater is restored to an upright
position, the heater will reset.
INTENDED USE :
- This product is intended for indoor residential and office use only, not for industrial or other commercial applications. Use only with electrical wiring that is in good working order and that meets applicable codes and ordinances. This heater must be plugged into a 120
- Volt A.C., 15 AMP (or larger) circuit. Do not plug anything additional into the same circuit. If you have any questions whether your wiring is adequate, consult a qualified electrician. Risk of fire, overheating, malfunction, property damage, injury or even death may result if not adhered to.
- Use your heater only with a working smoke detector located in the vicinity of your heater.
- While using your heater, you should follow the IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS in this manual. As part of those instructions, we have used the word “WARNING” to indicate the level of hazard: WARNING indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, could result in injury or death.
WARNING: Before servicing this heater be sure to unplug heater from wall outlet. Do not only turn off heater from the main “ON/OFF” switch, be sure to unplug this heater.
WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD
Use your heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use

machines, swimming pools or other sources of water. Never locate heater where
it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not use heater
outdoors. Do not use in damp environments such as flooded basements.

Do not touch body of heater when in use. This heater is hot when in use, to
avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles
when moving this heater.
WARNING: FIRE HAZARD
Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use near
combustible materials or flammable gases or sources of heat. DO NOT USE in
areas where gasoline, paint or flammable materials are used or stored. Keep
com bustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes
and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) from the front of the heater and
keep them away from the sides an d rear. To prevent a possible fire,
do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manne r. Do not use on soft
surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Do not insert or
allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may
cause an electric shock, fire, or damage the heater.
WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Use with adequate electrical system that is up to code. The supply cord has a polarized plug. As a safety feature this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. To prevent electric shock, match wide blade of plug to wide slot, fully insert plug. If the plug does not fit contact a qualified electrician.
PET OWNERS NOTE:
The health of birds and some small pets are extremely sensitive to the fumes
given off during the initial use of many appliances. Although these fumes are
not harmful to humans, it is recommended that this heater not be used around
birds and small pets during its initial use until the manufacturing corrosion
coatings burn off.
PREPARATION
Place the product on a firm, level surface and plug into a 120V 60Hz power outlet. Only operate product in upright position.
TURNING HEATER ON:
To start the heater, turn the Power control dial from the off position to the
LOW or HIGH setting. Then rotate the Thermostat Control clockwise to the HIGH
THERMOSTAT position as described below. During the heater’s initial use, you
may experience a slight odor or smoking. This is the result of the heating
elements manufacturing oils burning off, this is normal and will go away after
a few minutes of use.
CONTROL PANEL
POWER LEVEL SWITCH: This heater has two heat settings: HIGH and LOW. Use the higher setting (1500 watt) to raise the room temperature quickly. When the desired temperature is reached use the low setting. It is usually sufficient to maintain a comfortable temperature.
- SETTING THERMOSTAT: After heater has been turned on and the room has reached the desired temperature, slowly rotate the thermostat knob counter-clockwise until the heater shuts off (you should hear a faint “click”). By leaving the thermostat at this setting it ll automatically maintain this temperature. To lower the temperature, rotate the knob further counter-clockwise (towards the LOW position). To raise the temperature, rotate the thermostat knob clockwise (towards the HIGH position).
- TURNING OFF: Turn the Power Level Control dial to the OFF position before unplugging or plugging in the heater. Heater should be unplugged when not in use.
- QUARTZ TUBES: Do not use with other quartz tubes or tubes that are cracked/broken.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR SERVICING. DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN

WATER! CLEANING: IMPORTANT! DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER!
Clean the heater grill with the vacuum brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. This will remove lint and dirt from inside the heater.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAKE THE HEATER APART. Clean the body of the heater with a soft cloth. -
CAUTION: Do not use gasoline, benzene, paint thinner, harsh cleaners, etc. as they will damage the heater. NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.

REPAIR: D O NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITHOUT THE GRILLE IN PLACE. DO NOT USE THE HEATER IF IT HAS MALFUNCTIONED OR BECOME DAMAGED IN ANY WAY.

STORAGE: Keep original carton for storage of the heater. Coil and tie the power cord to avoid damage during storage.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
If your heater fails to operate, please do the following:
- Review these instructions to ensure you understand the basic operations and features of your heater.(Example: Overheat Protection)
- Check your circuit breaker or fuse for proper operation.
- Check for obstructions. Unplug the heater for 10 minutes, clear any obstructions and restart the heater .
MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the unit and let it cool completely.
- To keep the unit clean, the outer shell may be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. You may use a mild detergent if necessary. After cleaning, dry the unit with a soft cloth. CAUTION: DO NOT let liquid enter the product.
- DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish, or rough brushes to clean the product. This may cause damage or deterioration to the surface of the product.
- DO NOT immerse the product in water.
- Wait until the unit is completely dry before use.
PORTABLE ELECTRIC HEATER WARRANTY
LIMITED WARRANTY
A limited warranty is extended to the original purchaser of this heater and
warrants against malfunction due to manufacturing defects for a period of (90)
Ninety Days from the date of retail purchase. Please read and follow all
details noted below.
CLAIMS HANDLED AS FOLLOWS:
- WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE:
- Return to the place of purchase.
- AFTER 30 DAYS AND WITHIN THE 90 DAY WARRANTY PERIOD:
- Contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-776-9425. You must have the:
- model number, serial number and date of purchase.
- They will provide you with further instructions, which will include repair or replacement at our option.
DUTIES OF THE OWNER:
This heating appliance must be operated in accordance with the written instructions furnished with this heater. This warranty shall not excuse the owner from properly maintaining this heater in accordance with the written instructions furnished with this heater. A bill of sale, canceled check or payment record must be kept to verify purchase date and establish warranty period. Original carton should be kept in case of warranty return of unit.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
- Damage caused by misuse or use contrary to the owner’s manual and safety guidelines.
- Damage caused by a lack of normal maintenance.
- Repair by an unauthorized person.
- Damage caused by connection to an improper voltage.
- Damaged caused by use outdoors.
LIMITATIONS:
This warranty does not imply or assume any responsibility for consequential
damages that may result from the use, misuse, or the lack of routine
maintenance of this heating appliance. A cleaning fee and the cost of parts
may be charged for appliance failures resulting from lack of maintenance. This
warranty does not cover claims, which do not involve defective workmanship or
materials. FAILURE TO PERFORM GENERAL MAINTENANCE (INCLUDING CLEANING) WILL
VOID THIS WARRANTY.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS GIVEN TO THE PURCHASER IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER
WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE REMEDY PROVIDED IN
THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS GRANTED IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER REMEDIES. IN NO
EVENT WILL WORLD MARKETING OF AMERICA BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so
the above limitation may not apply to you. Some states do not allow the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages so the above
limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
