- Warming Chamber
- Warming Base
- Controls
- Storage Caps
USING YOUR WARMER
CAUTION: Unplug from the outlet before adding water.
-
Unlock the warming chamber by twisting counterclockwise and lifting from the base.
-
Add DISTILLED water to line ABOVE the “FILL” text on the inner rim, indicated by the MAX arrow – approximately 9.5 oz / 280 mL of water.
Note: If water is at or below the “FILL” text, indicated by the MIN arrow, the unit may make bubbling sounds indicating water should be added soon.
WARNING: Allow to cool before checking the water level. -
Place the warming chamber onto the base, aligning the arrow with unlock symbol (on the back of the base) and twisting clockwise to align the arrow with a lock symbol. Insert gray warming basket. Plug the unit in.
-
Place the vessel into the warming chamber as outlined below.
BOTTLE: Remove bottle components and add a storage cap for leak-free warming. Place into the warming basket. When warming items that are too large for the basket, warming water may overflow.
BREAST MILK STORAGE BAG: Breast milk storage bags are available in a variety of sizes. Frozen bags can also be in a variety of contorted shapes, depending on the freezing condition. Remove warming basket and place bag directly into warming chamber. See “Warming Time Charts” on page 4-5.
Note: Use of the warming basket will raise the water level and speed the time in which the milk will warm. Overheating of the milk may result.
SETTING WARMING TIME
CAUTION: ALWAYS TEST CONTENT TEMPERATURE BEFORE FEEDING YOUR BABY.
- Press any button to turn appliance on.
- To change between oz and mL, hold the button for three seconds.
Manual Time Adjustment: While in the temperature condition mode, use the UP and DOWN buttons to change the timer setting.
Note: The last used warming time is remembered for your next use.
- Press the button to start the cycle. The timer will count down until the warming is finished.
- CAUTION: DO NOT touch hot liquid and heating surfaces, including the heating element, during or immediately after use.
Promptly remove vessel to avoid overheating. Gently stir or swirl liquid to ensure it warms evenly. DO NOT shake.
WARMING TIME CHARTS
These charts correspond to the times pre-programmed into the warmer.
Note: Run two cycles for 5-11 oz (150-330 mL) in frozen plastic bottles. THESE CHARTS ARE APPROXIMATE. WARMING TIMES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THE VESSEL MATERIAL, SHAPE AND VOLUME. TEMPERED GLASS HAS BEEN TESTED FOR USE IN THIS WARMER.
Room Temperature = 72ºF/22ºC, Refrigerated = 39ºF/4ºC, Frozen = 0°F/-17°C
- Warmed in Dr. Brown’s® 9 oz / 270 mL, 10 oz / 290 mL and 11 oz / 330 mL wide-neck bottles.
- When warming breast milk storage bags for the first time, follow directions for the previous volume (example: 3 oz instead of 4 oz), test the temperature, and adjust if necessary.
CAUTION: NEVER FREEZE GLASS CONTAINERS, AS GLASS MAY BREAK.
CLEANING THE WARMER
CAUTION: Unplug from outlet and allow to cool before cleaning and descaling. DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER.
Daily
- Allow unit to cool before cleaning.
- Remove the top warming chamber from the base.
- Empty the water from the base.
- Rinse warming base, warming chamber, and warming basket with clean water. If storing unit for longer than a day, dry or allow to air dry before re-assembly.
Note: Use of tap water may cause “H20ERR” and can shorten the life of the appliance. Use distilled water.
Special Cleaning
If the unit warming chamber and/or warmer base becomes contaminated with milk:
Hand wash with clean water and mild detergent.
Note: DO NOT use scouring pads, abrasives, bleach or solvents for cleaning. DO NOT disassemble base. There are no serviceable parts inside.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the warmer is not operating, check that:
- The power cable is connected to the power outlet.
- The water is filled to the proper level.
- The unit is correctly assembled.
- If display shows the error “H20ERR,” the warmer may have no/low water condition. Unplug from power. Fill water to the correct level, to the line ABOVE the “FILL” text. Reconnect to power.
- If display shows “H20ERR” message and is properly filled with water, milk/minerals have come in contact with the heating element and the unit must be cleaned. Follow the SPECIAL CLEANING instructions.
- Water overflowing from the warming chamber: This can occur if the bottle has a very large diameter, such as with a wide-neck glass bottle with silicone sleeve. Remove the basket and warm bottle directly in the warming chamber.
