PRECAUTIONS

  • For AC operation, check that the unit’s operating voltage is identical with your local power supply see (specifications) and use the supplied AC power cord: Do Not use  any other type. For the battery operation, operate the unit only on 4.5V DC using three D batteries.
  • The nameplate indication operating voltage, power consumption etc. is located on the rear exterior.
  • Disconnect the AC power cord from the wall outlet when it is not in use for an extended period of time.
  • This unit is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as long as it is connected to the wall outlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off.
  • When the internal batteries are not to be used, remove them to avoid damage caused by the battery leakage and corrosion.
  • Do Not leave the unit in a location near heat sources, or in a place subject to direct sunlight and excessive dust. Mechanical vibration or shock.
  • Should any solid object or liquid fall into the unit, unplug the unit and remove the batteries, and have the unit checked by qualified personnel before operating it any further.
