BLSO-STF Sequin and Decorative Trim Foot
Sequin trim can give a sewn item a touch of sparkle. Because the sequins are
difficult to work with, many people hand sew them. Using a sequin foot makes
it possible to sew on sequin trim by machine.

Stitch length: | 1 – 5mm |
Instructions
- Replace the all-purpose foot with the sequin and trim foot by snapping the foot onto the machine.
- With the sequin string, determine the direction the sequins lay. Sequins should be chained together so that the lower sequins are attached one beneath the other rather than on top of each other. The sequins should feed so they lie down rather than being pushed straight up.
- Place the trim in the desired location on your garment, laying it out so you will begin sewing at the top of the trim piece and down along the grain of the sequins. Pin the trim in position, do not pierce the sequins with the pins. Insert the pins over the trim or through the existing center holes of the sequins.
- Set your sewing machine to a medium-length straight stitch. Sew the trim onto the fabric. If the trim is a single row of sequins, sew down the center of the strip. It is recommended to match the stitch length to the existing center holes of the sequins if possible. If the trim is wide and made up of multiple rows of sequins, stitch (1/4 inch) away from each edge.
