The Baby Lock Sewing Accessories include the Open Toe Sole for the Digital Dual-Feed Foot (BLTY-OTDF). This accessory is designed to be used with the Digital Dual-Feed Foot of the Baby Lock sewing machine. The Open Toe Sole can be changed according to your usage needs.

Note:
When sewing the edge of quilted fabric, the upper fabric may be
pulled in under the open toe. It is recommended to pin or baste the
fabric edge before sewing.

Product Usage Instructions
- Refer to the Basic Operations section of the instruction manual for using the Dual-Feed Foot.
- To change the sole, follow the procedure of detaching and attaching the toe as explained in the instruction manual.
- Select a stitch with a middle (center) needle position when sewing using the reference marks on the toe.
- For outline quilting or similar tasks, set the stitch width to3.2 mm (1/8 inch).
- For seam allowance or outline quilting, set the stitch width to 6.4 mm (1/4 inch).
- The open tip of the Open Toe Sole provides enhanced visibility. Use it to easily follow marked lines and seams in the fabric.
- When sewing the edge of quilted fabric, ensure the upper fabric is securely pinned or basted before sewing to prevent it from being pulled in under the open toe.
Instructions
There are two styles of soles for the Digital Dual-Feed Foot which can be changed according to your usage. Refer to “Using the Dual-Feed Foot” of “Basic operations” of the instruction manual, for the procedure of detaching and attaching the toe.
The open tip provides expanded visibility of the needle and area directly in front of the needle. This feature makes it easy to follow marked lines and seams in the fabric.
Reference marks on the toe
When sewing using the marks, select a stitch with a middle (center) needle position.
- Center needle position
- 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) for outline quilting, etc.
- 6.4 mm (1/4 inch) for seam allowance or outline quilting, etc.
Note: When sewing the edge of quilted fabric, upper fabric may be pulled in under the open toe. Be sure to pin or baste the fabric edge before sewing.
