Product Information

The Utility Screen is a product designed for installation in outdoor spaces. It consists of various components, including posts, top/bottom rails, infill boards, and a hardware kit. Product Usage Instructions

Remove all contents from the box and take inventory of all items.
Assemble the screen components on the ground or floor. Place the posts approximately 31/2 feet apart.
Slide one end of the top/bottom rail and infill boards into the opening routes on the post.
Slide the other end of the top/bottom rail and infill boards into the opening on the second post to create the screen assembly.
Push the posts together so that the horizontal infill touches the outside wall of the posts.
Ensure all horizontal boards are touching the post wall. Drill one 21/2 #10 screw into the top rail on both sides of the screen.
Insert post caps into the posts at the top of the screen.
Using a post-hole digger or shovel, dig two holes approximately 12-14 inches deep and 32-1/2 feet apart.
Lift the screen assembly and place the long ends of the screen posts into the dug holes. Use a level to ensure the screen is level. Fill in the holes with soil and/or cement.
If you have multiple screen assemblies, repeat all steps to assemble them. To attach two or more screens together, use the hardware brackets and 3/4 screws provided with the hardware kit.

Improper installation of this product can result in personal injury. Always wear safety goggles when cutting, drilling and assembling the product.
Incorrect installation may cause harm to the product or individual.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

Check your local zoning laws.

Local zoning laws and Home Owners Associations may regulate the location, style and height of your product or even require a permit signoff beforehand.
Check local codes for frost line depth and/or air conditioner unit regulations if needed.
You must have the utility companies clearly mark your property for electrical, gas or water lines to avoid puncturing any unseen underground utilities.

Slide one end of top/bottom rail and infill boards into opening routes on post (Fig. 2)
Slide the other end of the top/bottom rail and infill boards into the opening on 2nd post to create screen assembly (Fig. 3).
Push posts together so that the horizontal infill touches the outside wall of the posts.
Ensure all horizontal boards are touching the post wall. Take one 21⁄2″ #10 screw and drill it into the top rail as shown. Perform task for both left and right sides of screen (Fig. 4).
Insert post caps into posts at the top of the screen (Fig. 5).
Using post hole digger or shovel, dig (two) 12 – 14 inch holes 321⁄2 feet apart (Fig. 6).
Lift screen assembly and place screen long post ends into dug holes, use level to ensure screen is level. Fill in holes with soil and/or cement.

For (2) or more screen assemblies:

Repeat all steps to assembly multiple screens.
