The Baby Lock Sewing Accessories 5/8 Adjustable Seam Guide Foot (BLSA-SGF) is
a versatile foot designed for garment seaming and various sewing projects. It
is specifically designed to provide utmost accuracy and precise measurements.
This foot features a built-in ruler and guide to help you maintain precise
measurements at all times. It is suitable for tasks such as garment seam
allowances, topstitching, and piecing while quilting.
Product Usage Instructions
- Remove the all-purpose foot from the presser foot holder.
- Attach the 5/8 guide foot to the presser foot holder.
- Select a straight stitch, zigzag, or decorative stitch, depending on your sewing requirements.
- For garment seams, use a center needle position and select a straight stitch.
- The notches along the guide bar allow you to secure the adjustable guide to the desired width.
- When turning corners, stop with the needle down in the fabric. Pivot the fabric, raise the presser foot, and check alignment using the red marking guide on the foot.
- When sewing curves, use the edge of the guide to follow the edge of the fabric. This allows for smooth fabric feeding and accurate curved seaming.
- Always remove pins before they reach the foot to prevent damage.

Most commonly for 5/8″ (16mm) garment seaming; however, this foot comes prepared to help for all your seaming needs. This foot is great for all projects that require the utmost accuracy, such as: garment seam allowances, topstitching or piecing while quilting. The built-in ruler and guide are helpful for keeping your measurements precise at all times

Remove the all-purpose foot. Attach the 5/8″ guide foot to presser foot holder.

Select a straight stitch, zigzag or decorative stitch. For garment seams, use a center needle position and select a straight stitch.

3/8″ (10mm) – Some Children’s Clothing and Doll Clothing

The notches along the guide bar secure the adjustable guide to the width you set.

When turning corners, stop with the needle down in the fabric and pivot the fabric, raise the presser foot, to check alignment. On foot itself there is a red marking guide down middle of foot and red marking guides on either side.

When sewing curves, use the edge of the guide to follow the edge of the fabric. The guide allows the fabric to smoothly feed into the machine and easierguiding of the fabric around the curve for accuratecurved seaming.

When using pins, always remove them before they reach the foot.
