Product Information

The Sena WiFi Sync Cable is a device used for upgrading the firmware of the Momentum EVO motorcycle helmet. It allows you to connect the helmet to the Sena Motorcycles App via WiFi and perform firmware updates.

The WiFi Sync Cable features a USB Connector and a microUSB Connector for easy connectivity. It also has LED indicators that provide information on charging status, firmware upgrade status, and WiFi status. The cable includes a Factory Reset Button for restoring the device to its factory default settings.

Product Usage Instructions

Connection Setup:

1. Open the Sena Motorcycles App.
2. Tap the Menu button in the top-right corner of the screen and select Update via WiFi.
3. Follow the instructions on the Sena Motorcycles App to connect the WiFi Sync Cable to a WiFi access point.

Note: To change the WiFi access point, perform the Factory Reset then repeat the steps above.

Upgrading the Firmware of the Momentum EVO:
The firmware of the Momentum EVO helmet can be upgraded automatically while it is charging. If you prefer to manually upgrade the firmware, you can change the setting on the Sena Motorcycles App.

Note: Do not disconnect the WiFi Sync Cable while upgrading the firmware to prevent any damage to the product.

LED Description:

• Charging Status: Indicates whether the Momentum EVO helmet is charging or fully charged.
• Firmware Upgrade Status: Indicates if there is a firmware upgrade available, if the firmware is currently being upgraded, or if the firmware upgrade is completed.
• WiFi Status: Indicates the WiFi connection status of the WiFi Sync Cable, such as being disconnected, searching for a WiFi access point, or connected to an access point.

Powering On:
To power on the WiFi Sync Cable, insert the USB Connector into a USB charger port that is connected to a power source. Please note the following:

1. Any 3rd party USB charger (5 V/1 A) can be used with the WiFi Sync Cable, as long as it is approved by either the FCC, CE, IC, or other locally approved standards.
2. Do not connect the WiFi Sync Cable to a USB port on your PC.

Connecting to the Momentum EVO:
To connect the WiFi Sync Cable to the Momentum EVO helmet, insert the microUSB Connector into the Momentum EVO’s microUSB port. Please note:
If you leave the Momentum EVO helmet turned on when connecting it to the cable, the charging LED on the WiFi Sync Cable will blink red slowly.

Factory Reset:
If you want to restore the WiFi Sync Cable to its factory default settings, follow these steps:

1. Gently insert a paperclip into the pinhole on the back of the unit and lightly press the Factory Reset Button.
2. The WiFi Sync Cable will automatically restart with all three LEDs turned on.

Note: The Factory Reset will restore the WiFi configuration setup, firmware setup, and language setup of the device to their default settings.

Sena Motorcycles App

• Download the Sena Motorcycles App to set up the WiFi Sync Cable to automatically upgrade the Momentum EVO. Android: Google Play Store > ‘Sena Motorcycles’
  iOS: App Store > ‘Sena Motorcycles’

• Save time updating the firmware on the Momentum EVO with the Sena Motorcycles App and enjoy your adventure even more!

Connection Setup

1.  Open the Sena Motorcycles App.

Note:

Upgrading the Firmware of the Momentum EVO

The firmware will be upgraded automatically while your Momentum EVO is charging. If you want to manually upgrade the firmware, change the setting on the Sena Motorcycles App.

Note:
Do not disconnect the WiFi Sync Cable while upgrading the firmware. The product may be damaged.

LED Description

Charging Status

• Disconnected
• Charging (The Momentum EVO is powered off.)
• Fully charged

Note:

Charging (The Momentum EVO is powered on.)
To upgrade the firmware, power off the Momentum EVO.

Firmware Upgrade Status

• Disconnected or no firmware upgrade available
• Upgrading firmware
• Firmware upgrade completed

WiFi Status

• Disconnected from an WiFi access point
• Searching for WiFi access point
• Connected to an access point

Powering On

Insert the USB Connector into a USB charger port that is connected to a power source.

Note:
