- Astra comes with a back section, a front section with your choice of the camera mount, and vertical and horizontal counterweight bars.

12ft Astra jib Setup
Extend your 8ft crane to a 12ft crane by adding the 4ft extension.
- Mount the camera jib crane (12ft) above the stand, matching the center of the jib stand.
- After the jib is aligned, tighten the jib properly with the help of the tightening knob.
- Loosen the knob of the rear section of the jib crane, as shown in the image.
- The rear section has an interior connecting bar extension out. This slides into the Extension Section – 4ft. Tighten the knobs to secure the sections together.
- Add the 4ft extension section to the rear section and secure properly. Next, attach the main head section to the extension section. Tighten the knobs to secure the sections together.
- After inserting the connecting bar, insert the knob into the coupler and tighten it into the groove.
Camera Setup
- Remove the extension camera plate screw with the help of a 4mm Allen key.
- Match both the threads of the camera mounting head as well as the extension camera plate properly, and secure the screw with the help of a 4mm Allen Key.
- (1/4” bolt, converted into 3/8”) Remove the conversion adapter from the 3/8” bolt, so that the size of the bolt is converted to a 1/4” bolt, as shown in the image.
- Now insert the bolt (1/4”) into the thread of the extension camera plate and the camera’s (Not-Included) thread hole from the bottom & Properly secure it with the help of screwdriver. (not included)
Counterweight Bar
- Insert the counterweight bar into the weight closure present at the back end of the camera jib, and tighten the counterweight properly.
- Use the weights according to your camera weight setup requirements.
NOTE: When the proper amount of counterweight has been added, the crane will rest in a horizontal position. Motions will be smooth and effortless. Note, the type of camera and mounting position will affect the balance. If the mounted camera is front heavy then mount the vertical bar in the first hole.
BELOW IS THE MANUAL TILT FUNCTIONALITY OF THE CAMERA
WARNING: When tilted manually, always maintain control of the camera. The front-heavy camera might move forward abruptly without notice, You need to be very careful at this point.
- For Upper Angle

LCD Mounting Bracket & LCD Monitor Setup
- Remove the Female Knob and the bolt from the LCD Mounting Bracket.
- To attach the mounting bracket to the jib stand, insert the bolt matching the provided hole of the Astra camera jib.
- By aligning the mounting bracket, tighten it properly with the help of a female knob.
- After aligning the mounting bracket with the jib, Tighten the LCD Monitor (Not-included) with the help of the plastic screwdriver in symmetry to the hole of the mounting bracket, as shown in the image.
- The LCD Monitor is now Properly Mounted on The Astra Jib.
Remove Astra Camera Jib
- Remove the Astra camera jib from the jib stand, to align it on the tripod head and remove both of its screws with the help of a 4mm Allen key.
- Remove the jib crane from the jib stand.
Using Tripod Head Setup
- Loosen the knob of the tripod head, then remove the quick-release plate.
- Attach the quick release plate to the bottom part of the jib and secure it properly with the help of a Screwdriver (Not-included).
- Directly mount the jib crane on the mounting part of the tripod head.
- (3/8” bolt, converted into 1/4”) Remove the conversion adapter from the 3/8” bolt, which will convert the size of the bolt into 1/4”.
- Insert 1/4″ bolt into the provided thread of the bottom part of the extension camera plate, and from the top of the camera plate, insert it into the Conversion adapter bolt, by which the bolt size will be converted back from 1/4″ to 3/8”.
- Attach the upper fluid head of the extension camera plate and properly secure it with the help of a screwdriver(not included). Then attach the quick release plate at the bottom part of the camera and attach it properly at the top mounting part of the fluid head.
- Camera (Not-Included) is properly attached with camera plate.
