PROSCEND 850G-10I Industrial Ethernet Switch

Product Information

The 850G-10I Industrial Ethernet Switch is a high-performance switch designed for industrial applications. It supports two power supplies with an input range of 24~48VDC. The switch features LED indicators for power status, alarm notification, and Ethernet connectivity. It also includes a built-in alarm relay and a ground connector for optimal system performance. The switch can be mounted on a DIN-rail and has DIP switches for configuring power alarm reporting. It provides RJ45 LAN ports for connecting Ethernet devices and supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) functionality.

Product Usage Instructions

Connecting Power

  1. Locate the two power supplies on the top panel of the switch.
  2. Insert the positive and negative wires (AWG 12-24) into the V+ and V- contacts on the terminal block respectively.
  3. Use a flat-head screwdriver to push in and open the wire clamp.
  4. Repeat the above steps for the second power supply if required.
  5. Ensure that the DC power is connected to a well-fused power supply.

Alarm Relay and Ground
The alarm relay output contacts are located next to the DC terminal block connector. The relay is normally open and will be closed when it detects any predefined failure such as power failures. The relay output has a current carrying capacity of 1A @ 24 VDC. Properly ground the switch for optimum system performance.

LED Indicators
The switch features LED indicators with the following colors and descriptions:

  • PWR/RPS: Indicates power status (Green: powered, Red: not powered).
  • ALM: Indicates alarm for abnormal power status or function.
  • RJ45 LAN port Link/Act: Indicates Ethernet link and activity status.
  • RJ45 LAN port Speed: Indicates Ethernet speed (Green: 1000Mbps, Blinking Green: 10Mbps/100Mbps).
  • UPLINK: Indicates Ethernet traffic detection (Green: detected, Off: not detected).

RJ45 Connector Pinouts
The pin assignment of the RJ45 connector is as follows:

Pin Description
1,2 T/Rx+, T/Rx-
3,6 T/Rx+, T/Rx-
4,5 T/Rx+, T/Rx-
7,8 T/Rx+, T/Rx-

DIN-rail Mounting

  1. Use the screws to install the DIN-rail kit at the rear side of the switch.
  2. Hook the unit onto the DIN-rail.
  3. Push the bottom of the unit towards the DIN-rail until it locks in place.

DIP Switch Setting
The DIP switches on the switch allow for configuring power alarm reporting. The available settings are:

DIP Function Description
1 (PWR) ON: Primary power alarm reporting is enabled.

OFF: Primary power alarm reporting is disabled.
2 (RPS)| ON: Redundant power alarm reporting is enabled.
OFF: Redundant power alarm reporting is disabled.

Reset Button
The reset button on the switch allows for rebooting and resetting to factory default settings:

  • To reboot, press the Reset button for 2 seconds and release.
  • To reset to factory default, press the Reset button for 10 seconds and release.
