Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the work area is clean and free from clutter to prevent accidents.
- Avoid using the disc sander in a dangerous environment and make sure the area is well lit.
- Do not use the tool in damp or wet locations or expose it to rain.
- Keep children away from the sander and ensure that the workshop is childproof.
- Maintain the tool by keeping all parts clean for optimal performance and safety.
- Avoid sanding with excessive pressure to prevent motor burnout.
- Wear proper apparel, including non-slip footwear, and avoid wearing loose clothing, ties, rings, or other jewelry that can get caught in spinning parts. Tie back or cover long hair.
- Use safety goggles or a face shield specifically designed for safety purposes. Everyday glasses are not suitable for protection.
- Wear a dust mask while using the sander to avoid inhaling fine airborne dust particles.
- Follow the assembly instructions below to set up the lathe mounted disc sander:
Assembly Instructions:
- Loosen the height adjustment bolts (5) and slide off the removable height adjustment risers (4) across the lathe ways. Do not completely tighten them.
- Attach the bed (9) to the lathe using the bed attachment bar (10) and secure it with the bed attachment handle (10).
- Adjust the height of the sander frame (8) using the height adjustment bolts (5) and risers (4) until it is at the desired level. Tighten the bolts.
- Position the table tilt adjustment (6) until the bed is square to the sanding disc. Tighten securely.
- For pen squaring, use the PSI squaring jig #PKSQUARE for best results.

Lathe Mounted Disc Sander
This Lathe attachment is uniquely designed to provide sanding functionality to many brands of 10” and 12” swing Lathes. Use it for virtually any sanding application. The tool features:

General & Specific Safety Rules
- Keep work area clean – Cluttered areas and benches invite accidents.
- Do not use in a dangerous environment – Keep area well lit. Do not use tools in a damp or wet locations or expose them to rain.
- Keep children away and make sure shop is child proof – All visitors should be kept a safe distance spinning disc.
- Maintain Tools – For the best and safest performance, keep all parts clean.
- Do not sand with excessive pressure – It will do a better and safer job and avoid motor burnout.

Assembly
- Thread sanding disc attachment (3) on to 1” x 8tpi headstock spindle.
- To adjust from 12” (default delivery) to 10” swing lathes: loosen the height adjustment bolts (5), slide off the risers (4) and re-attach.
- Position the sanding assembly on lathe bed as shown in Fig A.
- Attach frame to lathe bed by dropping Lathe attachment knob (10) through the frame and lathe ways secure by threading into the Bed attachment bar (9) positioned under an accross the lathe ways. Do not completely tighten.
- Adjust the table square to the Sanding Disc (3), then tighten the Attachment knob (10) to secure.
- To vertically align to the disc, Use a square on the Sanding bed and position the tilt adjustment (6) until the bed is square to the disc. Tighten.
Pen Squaring
use PSI squaring jig
PKSQUARE for best results.
