Product Usage Instructions
Preparing The Handle:
- Select a blank workpiece for the handle.
- Mark the desired length for the handle on the blank.
- Secure the blank in the lathe chuck.
- Lock the tailstock in place and lightly advance it so that the live center touches the edges of the hole in the blank. Be careful not to overextend into the hole to avoid splitting the material.
Note: Refer to DIAGRAM B for handle layout.
Turning The Handle:
- Start the lathe and begin turning the handle using appropriate turning tools.
- Continue shaping and smoothing the handle until the desired design is achieved.
Note: Refer to DIAGRAM C for turning the handle process and wood removal.
Cutter Assembly:
- Attach the threaded insert to one end of the handle.
- Attach the cutter assembly to the other end of the handle.
Note: Refer to DIAGRAM D for parts layout and assembly.

- 2 Part Epoxy Glue
- Wood Required: 1-1/2” Square x 6” Long
Preparing The Handle
(see DIAGRAM B)
- Square the ends of the blank to start.
- Mark the center of each end of the blank.
- Drill a 1/2” hole, 1-1/2” deep at one end.
- Drill 1/2” hole, 3” deep at the opposite end.
- Make sure the holes are straight down the center.
Turning The Handle
- Mount the handle per Diagram C, with the 3” deep hole into the chuck and lock.
- Bring the Tailstock in, slide the 60° Center into the hole at the opposite end to support the end of the workpiece. Lock Tailstock in place and lightly advance tailstock so Live Center touches the edges of the hole. Do not overextend into the hole to avoid splitting the material.
- Turn the wood round. Mark 4” from the tailstock to denote handle portion. Shape to the profile design.
- Make the ends diameter match the kit components.
- Part the handle off the wood at the mark.

Assembly
- Thread the insert over the stem.
- Spread glue inside the front hole at the handle.
- Slide the assembly in, be sure it will dry straight.
- Spread glue inside the back hole. Insert the plug and let dry.
- The pizza cutter is ready to use.
