Product Information

The Baby Lock Sashiko Accessories Braiding Guide (BLQK-BG) is a sewing accessory designed to guide small sewing braids in front of the foot and stitch them down using a sewing machine. It functions similarly to a braiding foot and is perfect for attaching small,
flat trims to lightweight and medium weight fabrics.

The braiding guide is compatible with lightweight flat tapes, braids, or serger chains created by an overlock or cover stitch. However, it is not recommended for use with round cords or yarnsfor optimal results.

To use the braiding guide, you will need to adjust the guide to align the spiral opening with the front opening of the presser foot. The tape or braid should be inserted into both the spiral opening of the guide and the front opening of the presser foot. The tape should be kept away from the needle clearance area to prevent any interference during sewing.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Loosen the fixing screw located on the back of the presser foot holder.
  2. Insert the straight end of the braiding guide into the right side of the hole opening. Note: Guide fabric only, not the tape. If necessary, stop the machine to untangle the tapeĀ  and ensure it flows freely through the spiral opening.
  3. Adjust the guide to align the spiral opening with the front opening of the presser foot.
  4. Tighten the screw to secure the braiding guide in place.
  5. Insert the tape or braid into the spiral opening of the guide.
  6. Insert the tape or braid into the front opening of the presser foot, ensuring it is placed under the presser foot and kept out of the needle clearance area.
  7. Start sewing slowly to stitch down the tape or braid.
