General instructions for proper use

  1. Opening the refrigerator door more often than necessary increases energy consumption and frost.
  2. Proper ventilation of the compressor and condenser unit reduces energy consumption and ensures a good cooling performance.
  3. Keep the inside of the refrigerator clean and dry. Remove any condensate water which might gather in the tray under the freezer compartment.
  4. It is recommended to turn on the device for about 6 hours prior to storing any food.
  5. Make sure the wiring system of the vehicle is in proper condition. Routinely check the batteries and the charge level.

Warning! Electrical shock hazard!

  1. Do not remove the ground prong.
  2. Do not use an adapter.
  3. Do not use an extension cord.

First use

  1. Check whether all packing materials have been removed.
  2. Clean the inside of the refrigerator with warm water and a mild detergent.
  3. Gently dry with a soft cloth.
  4. The refrigerator should always be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet which has a voltage rating that matches its rating plate. The refrigerator can be operated with a 12 V or a 24 V DC voltage supply.

Battery power detection
The device features a multi-level battery guard that protects your vehicle battery from excessive discharge when the device is connected to the built-in DC power supply. If the cooler is operated with the vehicle ignition off, the cooler will shut off automatically when the power supply voltage drops below a set level. The cooler will turn back on once the battery is charged to the restart voltage level. The compressor will restart automatically in a few minutes when the voltage returns to normal values.

Cut-in voltage| 10.9 V| 22.7 V

Installation

This refrigerator is designed for installation in a niche. Mounting can be done on the strap at the front. It is very important that the refrigeration unit, consisting of the compressor and condenser, is well ventilated. The airflow must run from the bottom to the top. The air inlet and outlet of the niche must have a free passage of at least 200 mm. The refrigerator has a cooling system that can be installed up to 1.5 m away from the refrigerator, so that optimal use can be made of the available space. Handle the connecting tube carefully so as not to damage it. In principle, the cooling system must be vertical, but it also works up to an inclination of 30°.

  2. Switch off the refrigerator before defrosting.
  3. Take the products out off the refrigerator and store them as cool as possible.
  4. Never use sharp or abrasive objects to remove ice and frost from the evaporator, as this could damage it.
  5. Only switch the refrigerator back on once it has been defrosted, cleaned and thoroughly dried.
  6. Remove, empty and dry the drip tray beneath the evaporator.
  7. A towel can be placed at the base of the refrigerator during defrosting, to collect the water.
