Safety Instructions

When using electrical heaters, basic precautions should always be taken to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  • This appliance is only suitable for well-insulated spaces and occasional use.
  • Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance.
  • Make sure that the voltage rating label of the appliance corresponds to your main voltage. If not see your retailer and do not connect the appliance.
  • Never use the appliance unsupervised when in use.
  • If you have to leave even for a short moment please stop the appliance.
  • Do not use this appliance in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower or swimming pool.
  • For indoor use only. This appliance is not suitable for use outside the house and is only suitable for well-insulated spaces or occasional use.
  • Warning: To reduce risks, assure textiles, furniture, curtains, or any other flammable material are not placed within 1 meter from the air outlet of the appliance.
  • Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and hot conditions. Do not route the power lead in front of the appliance.
  • This heater must be earthed. If in any doubt consult a suitable competent person.
  • Caution: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
  • The appliance must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
  • Caution: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
  • Do not cover: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
  • The meaning of figure in marking is “WARNING: DO NOT COVER”.
  • Warning: in order to avoid overheating, do not cover the appliance or allow the air inlet/outlet to become obstructed.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be repaired by the manufacturer, its authorized service centre or professional person.
  • Keep the power plug accessible after installation.
  • Do not use this heater in rooms that contain explosive gas (for example, petrol), or if you are using solvents, glue, aerosol spray or flammable paints, as these may catch fire.
  • From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if the cord or any part of the appliance shows any signs of damage.
  • Do not use if you have wet hands.
  • Nothing should ever cover or block the heater in any way, otherwise the appliance will overheat and may become dangerous.
  • Immediately cut off the power if something is wrong.
  • Please turn off the power if the appliance will not be used for an extended period of time.
  • Although the appliance complies with all safety standards, we do not recommend using it on multi-use carpet or long-pile carpet.
  • Dispose of the packaging carefully. Plastic packaging material can cause environmental pollution.
  • The appliance must be placed on the ground.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been instructed to use the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • This appliance must not be used with an extension lead.
  • Do not use the appliance if there are visible signs of damage to the appliance, after a malfunction or after it has been dropped.
  • Use this appliance on a horizontal and stable surface.
  • Never move the appliance when it is operating; please turn it off if you want to move it.
Instructions for use
  1. Flame switch – Switches flame effect and the power on/off.
  2. Heating setting: please press ‘ ’ for 1000W.
  3. Heating setting: please press ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ at the same time for 2000W (it cannot operate without first pressing ‘ ’ ).
  4. Thermostat control dial – adjusts the heating function.
    Function Button

This product features mechanical thermostatic room temperature control. When switches 1, 2 and 3 are turned on and the thermostat control dial (4) is turned to the minimum setting, the heating function can be turned on by slowly opening the thermostat control dial (4) until you hear a click. The heating function will be switched on and will continue to operate until the room temperature has reached a specific temperature. When this room temperature has been reached, the heating function will switch off automatically and will only switch on again when the room temperature drops.

Would you like to leave the heating function on continuously, without it switching off automatically? Then turn the thermostat control dial (4) fully open.

Overheating safe device

Your appliance is fitted with a safety device that switches off the heater in the event of overheating.
If the heater stops working, turn the heater off and check if the inlet or outlet is blocked. Disconnect the plug and wait at least 10 minutes for the protection system to reset before attempting to restart the heater. If the security switch still switches the heater off and prevents the heater from operating, take the heater to your nearest service centre for examination or repair.
Attention: before restarting the heater, the plug must be disconnected for at least 10 minutes.

Warning: This heater is not equipped with a device for checking room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms if they are occupied by people who cannot leave the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

Cleaning
  1. Always disconnect the appliance from the main power supply and make sure the appliance has completely cooled down before cleaning.
  2. Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a damp or dry cloth.
  3. Do not use petroleum, another detergent or chemical solvents to clean the heater.
  4. If the heater is not used for a long time, it should be protected from dust and stored in a clean, dry place.
Disposal

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal (household) waste; use separate collection facilities (2012/19/EU). Contact your local government for information regarding the available collection systems. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and enter the food chain, thus damaging your health and well-being. When replacing old appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposal free of charge
