Important safety instructions

  1. General safety rules should always be followed when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.
  2. Read all the instructions and keep them for the life of the product.
  3. Check that the mains voltage matches what is indicated on the appliance rating plate before connecting it to an earthed socket.
  4. This appliance is intended for domestic use only.

  6. Only use the appliance for its intended purpose. If in doubt, contact the point of sale or manufacturer.
  7. This appliance must not be used with an external timer, programming unit, separate remote control system or other appliances that automatically switch on the heating system, as there is a fire risk if the heaters are incorrectly positioned or covered.
  8. The appliance should be installed on a flat, stable surface.
  9. Make sure you place the heater in a safe place so that you do not easily trip over the appliance or the cable. Make sure you position the heater so that it cannot fall over.
  10. To remove the cord from the socket, do not pull on the power cord but on the plug.
  11. If the power cord, appliance or plug is damaged, contact the retailer or manufacturer. Do not use the appliance.
  12. The appliance is not intended to be installed in/between (cross) beams and rafters.
  13. Do not use the appliance under a wall unit, shelf or near combustible materials, such as awnings, curtains, tapestries, etc.
  14. The heater should not be placed directly under a socket.
  15. Do not immerse the appliance, or power cord or plug in water or other liquids.
  16. Use only grounded and professionally connected mains connections.
  17. Do not use the appliance near a bathtub, shower or swimming pool.
  18. The heater is not suitable for outdoor use in humid weather, in bathrooms or other wet environments.
  19. The heater must not be placed/used in areas where flammable liquids or gases are used or stored.
  20. Some parts of the appliance can get very hot, which can cause burns. You should be especially careful of this when there are children and vulnerable people around.
  21. Do not leave the heater unattended when the plug is in the socket.
  22. This appliance is not intended to be used by children under 8 years old and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or insufficient experience and knowledge unless they are supervised or instructed on how to use the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  23. Children up to 3 years old should be kept away. When in use, someone must constantly supervise.
  24. Children may not play with the appliance.
  25. Do not move the appliance when it is connected. Let the appliance cool down completely before grabbing it.
  26. Use the handle when moving the heater.
  27. The grille does not provide full protection for young children and people with mental disabilities.
  28. The grille on this heater is designed to prevent direct access to heating elements and must be in place when the heater is in use.
  29. The heater must not be used if the ceramic panels are damaged.
  30. Do not use this heater in small rooms where there are persons unable to leave the room on their own unless they are under constant supervision.
  31. Do not cover the air inlet or outlet or place objects close to the unit that could obstruct airflow.
  32.  If the heater is not used for an extended period, unplug it.

First use
When switched on for the first time, the appliance may produce a slight odour. Ensure adequate ventilation.

How to use

  1. Connect the mains cable to the socket and check that the mains voltage matches what is indicated on the appliance rating plate before connecting it to an earthed socket.
  2. Switch on the heater by turning the thermostat knob clockwise to the desired setting.
  3. The heater will come on when the function knob is set to one of the functions:
    • OFF: switch off
    • FAN: ventilate only
    • HEAT: low heating mode
    • HOT: high heating mode
    • FAN OSC: ventilation and oscillation
    • HEAT OSC: low heating mode and oscillation
    • HOT OSC: high heating mode and oscillation
  4. The indicator light lights up when the heater is on.
  5. When the desired ambient temperature is reached, slowly turn back the thermostat knob until you hear a click andthe indicator light switches off.
  6. The heating starts and stops automatically to keep the room temperature constant. Once the ambient temperature reaches the desired temperature, the heating element goes into standby mode. As soon as the ambient temperature starts to drop, the heating element is switched on again.

Switch off

  1. Turn the thermostat knob to the lowest position.
  2. Turn the function knob to FAN (ventilate only) to allow the heater to cool down faster.
  3. Let the appliance cool down
  4. Turn the function knob to OFF.
  5. Unplug the power cord.

Storage

  1. Always let the heater cool down completely before storing it.
  2. Never wrap the cord around the heater.
  3. Store the appliance in a dry and dust-free environment.

Maintenance & cleaning

  1. Before cleaning the appliance, let it cool down and unplug it.
  2. Never immerse the appliance in water or clean it under running water.
  3. Dust off the grilles
  4. Using a damp sponge with water, clean only the housing of the appliance, after which you dry it with a dry cloth.
  5. Do not use abrasives or sharp objects to clean the oven, as this may scratch the oven’s body.
  6. Before switching on and using the heater again, let all parts and the surface dry very well.

Fall protection
This heater features mechanical fall protection. This protection ensures that if the heater is not placed upright on a firm and level surface or if the heater falls over, the system automatically shuts the heater down. If this happens, place the heater on a firm and level surface and restart the heater.
Overheating protection The heater features overheating protection. When a potential overheating temperature is reached, the system automatically switches off the heater.
