KEYS AND FUNCTIONS

Key Instruction

1.Turn on: Short press Power to turn on and indicator will light up.

2.Turn off: Long press Power to turn off and indicator off.

Turn off ONLY the screen: when the dashcam is on, press once the power button can turn off screen(the dashcam is still working);

Using Your Dash-cam

Installation

  1. Insert the Micro SD card into the Micro SD slot of the dash cam. (Note:please use an A-Brand high-speed Micro SD card, class 10 or above)
  2. Plug the cabin camera; connect car charger with dash cam and plug into the car’s cigarette lighter.
  3. Before rear camera installation, please check if the provided cable is long enough to reach the rear cam in your car. Place the rear camera on the rear window or the bumper by using the adhesive stickers or screws provided.
  4. Connect rear camera to the front dash-cam. If connected properly, front and rear camera will be shown on the screen.

Note: The front + cabin + rear camera will record simultaneously and videos are stored separately on the Micro SD card.

Manually turn on/off

  • To manually turn on, press the power button.
  • To manually turn off, press and hold the power button for at least 2 seconds.
  • Inside the License plate
  • Connect positive live Line of reverse light
  • Inside the rear wind-shields
  • Connect positive live line of reverse light

FUNCTION

Video Settings

Resolution

Allow to choose the desired video resolution and fps(frames per second). Higher resolution and FPS videos result in smoother videos, but also take more storage space. The video resolution is ONLY for FRONT camera recording.

Loop Recording – Off/lmin/ 3mins(Default)/ 5mins

_ On: _Here select the length(l/3/5 min) of each video clip for the loop recording. This function allows the Dash-cam to continuously record. Please notice: the Dash-cam will keep deleting the oldest files automatically when memory card gets full so that it can keep recording over and over.

Rear-cam Mirror- 0n(Default)/0ff

  • On: Dash cam screen will display the mirror image and should match your rear-view mirror.

Motion Detection – 0n/0ff(Default)

Motion detection is a memory saving feature which only records footage where motion is taking place. You should NEVER drive your car with it enabled· as this will confuse the camera as you stop and start at lights etc. The functions is designed to be used for surveillance when your car is parked and NOT moving. Usually when you are not inside your car. During your car is parked and you wanted continuous surveillance.

NOTE: The Sensitivity is affected by many factors, and the available distance is about 3 meters.

Time Lapse – 0ff(Default)/0n

  • On: The Dash-cam can sustain longer operational period while reducing video file size. Video files will be played at high-speed when playback.

Record Audio – 0n(Default)/0ff

  • On: The video has sounds.
  • Off: The video is silent.

WDR – On/Off(Default)

  • Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) processes images to ensure clear recordings in bright and dark light. This allows the Dash Cam to combine multiple images at different levels of brightness to create one superior image.

Frequency – 50HZ/ 60HZ(Default)

According to the power supply specification used in your country.

  • 50HZ-Used in USA, North America
  • 60HZ-Used in Europe, most Asian Countries.

G-Sensor – Off/ High/ Middle(Default)/ Low

G-sensor is a 3-axis impact gravitational accelerometer, designed to detect physical and gravitational forces on the Dash-cam. Once G-sensor has triggered due to physical or gravitational impact force on the camera, the current video file will be locked as an emergency file so it won’t be deleted by loop cycle function.

Exposure -+2.0,+5/3,+4/3,+1.0,+2/3, +1/3,+0.0(Default)/-1/3,-2/3,-1.0,-4/3,-5/3,-2.0

  • To adjust video exposure setting for either brighter or darker video according to your preference.

Playback Mode

  • Normal Video: It’s the video files That video file saved when in loop recording mode.
  • Locked Video: It’s the video files that Dash-cam lock the current files after the car’s shocked.
  • Picture: Photos that taken when photo mode.

Park Monitor

  • This function will ONLY work when connected with Hard-wire Kit.
  • Select [Connected] + [one Frame Per Second], then the Dash-cam will record at high-speed after car’s power off.

Date/Time Settings

  • Must set the Timezone first, setting path: [System Settings]-[Timezone].
  • Then set your local date and time.

Stamp – Off/On(Default)

  • Time Stamp / GPS Stamp / Speed Stamp, when on the stamp information will be shown on the video or photo.

Storage

  • Storage Format Remind: Once chose a time duration and turned on this function, the dash cam will pop up “Please format SD card” to avoid too much locked files to use loop recording.
  • SD Card Format: The Micro SD card must be formatted when inserted first time in the Dash-cam. The formatting process will make sure that the card’s file system format is optimized for the camera.
  • Storage Info: To check the usage of memory card, please format the memory card regularly to ensure that there is enough available space inside.

Language – Multilingual, default English

  • Allow to choose your desired language for the dash-cam system.

System Settings

  • Fatigue Driving Reminder – Off(default )/hour/2hours/hours
  • Once chose a time duration and turned on this function, the dash cam will make sounds to alert.

Speed Unit – KM/H(default)/MPH

Beep Sound – On(default )/Off

  • To switch on/ off or adjust the key tone.

Screen Saver – Off/1 min(Default)/3 mins/5 mins

  • On: The screen will go black after 1/ 3/ 5 minutes no-operation while the Dash-cam is still on/ recording.

IR LED -Auto(Default)/Night Mode/Day Mode

  • The function works on the cabin camera.

Timezone Setting – UTC/GMT+12 to UTC/GMT-12, Default GMT +8

  • Before setting Date/Time, please set your local Timezone first according to your location, then press”OK” to confirm. The timezone won’t change automatically when it starts/ ends daylight saving time, please adjust it manually at that time.

Default Setting

  • Allow to restore all settings to factory default settings.

GPS Info

  • Check the satellite number / Longitude / Latitude / Speed.

  • To check the current firmware in the Dash-cam. You’ll need this necessary information to check if newer version firmware is available to update. Please visit www.azdome.hk for the latest firmware.

Method of Setting Date/Time

  1. Go into [System Settings], Select [Time Zone], select your local timezone and press OK.
  2. Press M to exit, and select [Date/Time], set your local date/time and press OK.

Firmware Update

If want to update the LATEST firmware version

  1. Please download the firmware file in http://www.azdome.hk/downloads.html or contact [email protected]
  2. Copy the firmware file to Micro SD card ROOT file and insert to dash cam;
  3. Connect to power supply and power on the dash cam, then the light will be flash rapidly, it will take 1-2 minutes to update. The dash cam will power on automatically when update successfully.
  4. Check if the firmware version is the latest version;
  5. Format the Micro SD Card in dash cam, otherwise the Dash-cam will update again when next power on. Any problems please contact us [email protected]

  1. Go to our website www.azdome.hk/downloads to download the AZDOME Player (For Windows or macOS);
  2. Install the AZDOME Player in your laptop, photo as below;
  3. The latitude and longitude and speed will be embedded in the video.

WiFiAPP

Downloading AZDOME App On phone

  1. Search for” AZDOME” in App Store or Google Play Store to find the App and then download and install it.
  2. Turn on WiFi of the camera: Long press Down Button for 2-seconds to turn on the WiFi Mode.
  3. Turn on WiFi of your phone and connect: Go to Phone’s Settings > WiFi> Select M550 ac64cfe6792d Camera’ WiFi (WiFi Name SSID: M550_ac64cfe6792d, PASSWORD: 12345678).
  4. Please keep you Dash-cam to your phone within 3 meters. Open the AZDOME App to “Add Deice”, you will see the live video of Dash-cam on the AZDOME App when connect successfully. Then keep exploring the APP from here on.
  5. You can’t operate the Dash-cam when connecting WiFi. To disconnect WiFi, long-press and hold down button for 2-seconds to return to the video mode.

The videos/pictures taken by Car dash cam is only for a reference, we don’t take any responsibility due to data-loss in the abnormal circumstances. Special version: The device will records files in normal recording status. But in the following situation, it will lead to files to be damaged or lost;

  1. If pulling out the TF card in the recording status, final video files will be damaged or lost.
  2. If there is illegal blackout in the recording status, final video files will be damaged or lost.
  3. If there is a destructive collision in the recording status, video and audio files will be damaged or lost.
  4. If there is a destructive collision in the recording status leading to Memory card loose, video and audio files will be damaged or lost.
