  • In case you give the appliance to another person, then you should also supply them with these instructions for use.
  • The instruction manual includes important safety precautions, as well as information with regards to the proper use of the appliance.
  • Read the instruction manual, store them and pass them along to any future owner of the appliance. The instruction manual is handed with the purpose of your own safety!
  • Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the data plate at the bottom of the appliance corresponds to that of the voltage mains in your house. If this is not the case, contact an authorized BENRUBI Service Center and do not use the appliance.
  • The appliance is intended for drying and styling your hair only.
  • FOR DOMESTIC USE ONLY.
  • Before use, please check that the appliance works correctly.
  • Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
  • The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of expert-
  • emcee and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Make sure that children do not use this appliance as a toy. Attention: To avoid the danger of suffocation, keep the packaging material away from children.
  • Regularly check the appliance for possible damage. Do not operate this appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged, if the appliance malfunctions or it has been damaged in any manner. To avoid any risk, please contact an authorized BENRUBI Service Center.
  • The appliance is intended for household use only and use only according to the instructions.
  • Never use the appliance for any other purpose than those described in the instructions.
  • Make sure that the function/ speed selector is set to the “0” position before plugging the appliance to the mains.
  •  Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in.
  • Never place the appliance on soft cushions or blankets, while in use to avoid risk of blocking the air inlet and outlet.
  •  Do not cover the air inlet, outlet or the concentrator. Keep them clean and free of hair, fluff and dust.
  • Never operate the appliance while asleep.
  • Never place any objects inside the air inlet or outlet.
  • Do not use attachments other than those provided by the supplier for the specific model.
  • Make sure that your hair is not too close to the air inlet on the back of the appliance.
  • Do not touch the air outlet, while the appliance is in use.
  • To avoid damaging of the hair, the air outlet should not be too close to the hair while drying.
  • Do not use the appliance in the case:
    • the power cord is damaged 15
    • the appliance has any visible damage
    • the appliance has fallen down.
  • In any of these cases, contact an authorized BENRUBI Servise Center.

CAUTION: To avoid risk of shock, never use the appliance with wet or damp hands, inside the bathtub or shower or above the washbin filled with water. If the appliance falls into water, pull the power plug out of the power socket immediately! Never come near the when the appliance is plugged.

  • The appliance is fitted with an overload protection system which switches off in the case of an overload (i.e. In case the air inlet or air outlet is blocked). In case the appliance has switched off during use, then reset the power button and wait for the appliance to cool down for approximately 5 minutes. Then switch the appliance on again and continue use. Make sure that the air inlet and air outlet are not blocked.

  • It is not recommended to use the appliance in the bathroom or anywhere that the appliance could get wet.

  • If, however, the appliance is used in the bathroom:

    • In order to provide additional protection, it is advisable to install a residual current circuit breaker (RCD) with a rating not exceeding 30mA in the electric circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice.
  • Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before cleaning or in the case of damage.

  • Before connecting the appliance to the mains, completely unwind the power supply cable and check that it is in perfect condition.

  • Do not place the appliance on top or near any source of heat (hot gas, or electric burner or heated oven) or on top or near surfaces where it can get wet.

  • Do not allow the power cable hanging over the edge of the table or counter or touching hot surfaces.

  • Do not pull the power cord over sharp edges. Keep the power cord away from hot or wet surfaces.

  • In the event that the power cable is damaged in any way do not use the appliance and contact an authorized BENRUBI Service Center.

  •  Always unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning.

  •  No liability is accepted for any damage resulting from use for other purposes than those indicated in the instructions for use, faulty operation and repairs made from unauthorized technicians. Guarantee services are excluded in such cases.

  • Do not use the appliance outdoors.

  • Do not use the appliance in places with oxygen tanks or where flammable materials are used (hair spray, etc.).

  • Do not set the appliance on any surface while in use. Always hold it well. Always turn off the appliance before setting it on any surface, even for a little while.

  • Do not use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could constitute danger to the user and risk damaging the appliance.

  •  Do not use cord extensions with this appliance.

  • Do not use voltage adaptor with this appliance.

  • Do not point the warm air outlet towards your eyes or other parts sensitive to heat.

  • Do not move the appliance by pulling the power supply cable. Ensure that the cable is not stuck in any way. Do not wind the cable around the appliance and do not twist it.

  • Do not unplug the appliance by pulling the power supply cable or by pulling the appliance. Always pull the plug, not the cord.

  • Do not unplug the appliance with wet hands.

  • Do not place the appliance where it could fall down, or be pulled in the washbasin or in the bathtub, where it could get wet.

  • Do not use the appliance in the bathroom or when in the shower or bathtub. In the case that you use the appliance in the bathroom, unplug the appliance from the mains immediately after use and make sure that the appliance is completely dry.

    • CAUTION: To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Always protect the appliance from
      moisture.
      • Never use the appliance close to wet places (in a bath, shower or a
      washbasin full of water). In the event of the appliance falling into water or any other liquid:

    • Unplug the power supply cable from the mains.

    • Do not put your hands in the water or liquid.

    • Contact an authorized BENRUBI Service Center and do not use the appliance.

  •  Ensure that the appliance is never wet (splashes of water etc.) or in aplace exposed to water.

  • Always unplug the appliance from the mains:

    • In case of malfunction
    • Immediately after use
    • Before cleaning
  •  Always set the appliance function selector to the “0” position, before unplugging the appliance from the mains. Allow the appliance to cool down before storage.

  • The accessories (concentrator) and the appliance body may be hot after use. Make sure that they have cooled down before you touch or clean them.

  • Never use abrasive or caustic cleaning products, as these might damage the surfaces.

  • Any false connection cancels the guarantee. Do not make any modifications to the appliance or its connection cord. Repairs must only be carried out by an authorized Benrubi Service Center. Improper repair may result in a considerable risk of injury to the user.

  • Any repairs made by a non-authorized BENRUBI Service Centre
    CANCEL THE GUARANTEE.

  • Always store the appliance in a dry place.

  • For your safety, this appliance conforms to the applicable standards, regulations and directives of Low Voltage, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental etc.

Using the Appliance

  • Wash your hair and dry thoroughly.
  • Comb your hair. Do not use hairspray or other flammable chemical hair care products.
  • Select the cool shot position for a good protection on hair which has been dried and made up.
  • Use high speed and high heat setting to produce a very fast airflow, ideal for quick drying.
  • Use low speed and heat setting for styling.

  • Press the function / speed selector to the relevant position to choose desired speed.
  • The other switch regulates different temperatures, for cool wind.

Concentrator
Your hair dryer is equipped with narrow concentrator for fixing your hair style. You may turn the concentrator towards the direction that is convenient for you. You may use the hair dryer either with or without the concentrator
Important: Do not touch the concentrator on your hair while using.

Deactivating the Appliance

Press the function/ speed selector to “0” position to deactivate the appliance after use.

Caution: The hair dryer is equipped with overheating protection system. In case the hair dryer overheats then it automatically shuts down. Reset the function/ speed selector to “0” position and allow the hair dryer to cool down completely. Then turn it on again and use it as desired.

Hanging Loop
Your appliance is equipped with a hanging loop on the back in order for you to hang the appliance for easier storage.

Useful Tips

  • Dry your hair thoroughly with a towel to remove water from it.
  • Set the hair dryer, to the highest speed/ temperature and dry your hair without the concentrator. Do not hold the hair dryer at the same spot for long in order to avoid overheating/ burning your hair.
  • When your hair is almost dry, lower the speed and temperature. Use a brush, to give your hair the desired styling.
  • To fix your styling, use the concentrator.

Care and Cleaning

  • Always shut off the appliance, by pushing the function/ speed selector to the “0” position and disconnect the power cord from the supply mains before any cleaning or maintenance operations. To avoid the danger of burns, allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Make sure the air inlet and outlet, the concentrator and the main body of the appliance are clean. Protect the appliance from dust, dirt and fluff.
  • From time to time remove dust and hair from the air inlet gill with a small brush.
  • If you have long hair or use high amounts of styling products, clean the filter regularly i.e. at least once a month.
  • Wipe the body of the appliance with a soft slightly damp cloth and then dry it with a soft dry cloth.

Warning: Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance. Always unwind the power cord completely before use. Avoid wrapping or winding the power cord in order to avoid possible damage.

CAUTION: If the appliance does not work properly, do not attempt to repair it by yourself. Turn the appliance off, remove the plug from the socket and do not use the appliance. Contact an authorized BENRUBI Service Center for examination, repair or replacement.

  • Always remove the appliance plug from the socket after use and before cleaning, as well as when not in use.

CAUTION: To prevent the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Keep the appliance dry at all times and away from moisture.

  • Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents which could harm the appliance.
  • Allow the appliance to cool down completely and store it in a dry place far from the reach of children.

  • The warranty does not cover damages resulting from normal wear, breakage, scaling, improper installation or maintenance of the product, mishandling, abnormal working conditions, failure to implement the instructions, conversion or repair of the product by an unauthorized technician who does not belong to the BENRUBI Service Centers.

Also, the warranty does not cover the following indicative factors:

  • Stains, discoloration or scratches.
  • Burns due to exposure to heat or flame.
  • Damage from thermal shock (sudden temperature change or change of voltage).
