Product Usage Instructions

1. Read the user manual and technical information before using the simalube.
2. Determine the appropriate simalube size and time setting using the Calculation Pro feature of the Simatec app.
3. Use only original accessories with the simalube.
4. If you have technically demanding or unusual applications, contact the technical department or your local distributor for assistance.
5. Ensure that the lubricator is not started without opening the outlet or in case of blocked grease lines within the installation.
6. In such cases, the pressure in the lubricator can build up to approximately 5 bar. If the overpressure reaches approximately 6 bar, the lubricator may break at the defined breaking point between the housing and bottom, releasing the pressure behind the piston and causing oil or grease to come out at the breaking point.
7. For further information on operation and disposal, refer to the electronic user manual on the Symantec website (www.simatec.com/manual/simalube) or scan the QR code provided.
8. Follow all safety instructions mentioned in the user manual and technical information.

Power generation: Hydrogen gas producing dry cell
Operating temperature: –20 °C to +55 °C (–4 °F to +131 °F) ambient temperature

Security note

If the lubricator is started without opening the outlet or in case of blocked grease lines within the installation, the pressure in the lubricator can build up approx. 5 bar. At an overpressure of approx. 6 bar the lubricator breaks at the defined breaking point between housing and bottom. The pressure behind the piston releases and oil or grease can come out at the breaking point.

Warning : For applications in an environment with an explosive atmosphere, there is a risk of electrostatic discharges or of propagating brush discharges on the surface of the lubricator. Suitable precautionary measures must be taken to minimise the risk. To avoid electrostatic charging during cleaning, only clean the lubricator with a damp cloth. Do not expose the lubricator to any air flow that may result in electrostatic charging of the lubricator.

The correct functioning of the lubricator can only be assured if recommended lubricants and original simalube accessories are used, and if the installation, operating and maintenance instructions are closely followed. The manufacturer cannot accept any responsibility for damages as a result of ignoring the instructions mentioned above. Important: Before putting the simalube into operation, fill extensions and the lubrication lines with the appropriate simalube greases (cartouches SL01…SL26) using a grease gun. Use only original accessories.
