ZKW36V Integrated Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator
Before you begin – Read these instructions completely and carefully.
Note to Installer: Be sure to leave these instructions with the Consumer.
Note to Consumer: Keep these instructions with your Installation

WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, make sure the power cord is not plugged
into the wall outlet.
WARNING
Tip Over Hazard. This appliance is top heavy. Use extreme caution with
moving to prevent tipping over which could result in death or serious injury.
Kit provides components to install product(s) in an opening which is 24” deep.
Parts List:
– Water line jumper (72” only)
– Water fitting tee (72” only)
– 2 power cords (One cord on 36”)
– RH and LH Case side trims
– Case top trim
– #8 Phillips head trim screws
– #10 Phillips head trim screws
– Toe Kick (36” only)
Tools and Materials Required:
– Adjustable wrench
– #2 Phillips screwdriver
– 1/4” driver / socket
36” STANDARD INSTALLATION
STANDARD INSTALLATION SPACE
Dimensions in parentheses are in centimeters.
Minimum Clearance Dimensions with Trims Installed
- 3/4” Landing needed for cabinetry door/drawer edge adjacent with hinge opposite of cutout.
- 1-1/2” landing needed for cabinetry door/drawer edge with hinge adjacent to cutout
CHANGE POWER CORD
Longer power cords are required for standard install kit installation. Power
cords are included in the Standard Install Kit.
Remove existing short power cord with string assembly:
Remove 1/4” hex screws attaching rear access cover.
- Unplug 3-pin power cord connector inside the machine compartment (press on sides to release locking tabs).
- Remove power cord green ground 1/4” hex screw.
- Remove strain relief 1/4” hex screw.
Install new longer power cord:
- Plug in the 3-pin connector (make sure locking tabs are engaged).
- Install the power cord green ground screw.
- Install the power cord strain relief.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, make sure to re-install the ground screw
after changing the power cord.
Replace rear access cover. Make sure the power cord and ground wire are properly routed through the access cover cut-out.
CASE TRIM INSTALLATION

Install the trim kit side rails to the exposed right and left case walls using the provided #8 Phillips head screws – 15 screws per side.

Fit the top trim and side trim rails together by sliding the exposed edges of the corner trim into the right and left trim kit side rails. Align and drive the two number 10-24 Phillips head screws into the screw bosses in the side rails to ensure the top trim is snugly fit to the side rails.

Secure the top trim to the case by using the provided #8 Phillips head screws (2 screws).
TOE KICK INSTALLATION
- Create a custom toe kick or use the 36” stainless steel toe kick provided.
- The toe kick attaches to the refrigerator by using a magnet that is provided with the refrigerator.
- Remove the toe kick magnet from the front access cover.
- Adhere magnet to back side of toe kick. The surface of the toe kick where the magnet is to be placed must be clean and free of foreign material. Center magnet vertically and horizontally.
- Position toe kick on bottom portion of the front access cover.
72” STANDARD INSTALLATION
NOTE:
- ZKMV Heater Unification Kit needed when pairing multiple units together.
- ZKMV kit to be installed prior to installing trims onto units.

INSTALL WATER LINE JUMPER/TEE (Only used on 72” Standard Installation.)
WARNING
Connect to potable water supply only.
- Connect the jumper water line from the Standard Install Kit to the house cold water line. Tighten the compression nut hand tight, then tighten one additional turn with a wrench. Overtightening can cause leaks!
- Connect the other end of the jumper water line to the water fitting tee supplied in the 72” Standard Install Kit.

CHANGE POWER CORD
Longer power cords are required for standard installation.
Power cords are included in all standard install kits.
For dual installations, both units can be plugged into the same electrical
supply receptacle.
Remove existing short power cord with string assembly:
Remove 1/4” hex screws attaching rear access cover.
- Unplug 3-pin power cord connector inside the machine compartment (press on sides to release locking tabs).
- Remove power cord green ground 1/4” hex screw.
- Remove strain relief 1/4” hex screw.
Install new longer power cord:
- Plug in the 3-pin connector (make sure locking tabs are engaged).
- Install the power cord green ground screw.
- Install the power cord strain relief.
WARNING

- Replace rear access cover. Make sure the power cord and ground wire are properly routed through the access cover cut-out.
CASE TRIM INSTALLATION

Install the trim kit side rails to the exposed right and left case walls using the provided #8 Phillips head screws – 15 screws per side.

Fit the top trim and side trim rails together by sliding the exposed edges of the corner trim into the right and left trim kit side rails. Align and drive the two number 10-24 Phillips head screws into the screw bosses in the side rails to ensure the top trim is snugly fit to the side rails.

Secure the top trim to the case by using the provided #8 Phillips head screws (2 screws).
TOE KICK INSTALLATION
- Create a custom toe kick or purchase Stainless Steel Toe Kick ZKK72R.
- Remove the toe kick magnets from the front access covers. These will be used for custom toe kicks only.
- For custom toe kicks, adhere magnets to the back side of the toe kick. The surface of the toe kick where the magnets are to be placed must be clean and free of foreign material. Center magnets vertically and horizontally.
- Position toe kick on bottom portion of front access covers.
