FAQs

will it turn off if tipped over?****

Yes. The heater is very sensitive. If you pick it up, it turns off. Any type of movement will cause it to turn off.

After it reaches the desired temp will it just blow non heated air, or does it turn off?****

because it has a thermostat when it reaches where it has been set at the heat and the fan will shut off – then it will automatically come on again when the room temperature drops.

Is it a 2 or 3 prong power cord?****

It is a two (2) prong power cord. Also, at 1500 watts max Divided by 110 or 120 volts = 12.5 (at least) amps; So, if you plug it into a 15-amp circuit with other items running on same circuit you may overload it and cord may get hot. It should be on a 20-amp circuit to be safe.

The fan wont spin anymore, but the coils still heat up, how do I fix the fan?****

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you can’t fix the fan. In fact, all of it will soon not work. It’s a terrible product.

If I turn it on and want it to stay on the max setting, will it do that? I don’t want it to turn off unless I turn it off (or if tipped over of course****

It definitely shut down after about 20 mins and did take some time to cool off enough to turn back on. I’d recommend the Vornado -the 350/750 model is 30 bucks and feels safer, runs all night w/o shutting down. I have both and feel safer with the vornado.

Is it good for camping? Do you have to plug it in? Cause typed in camping heater and this came on****

PC crashed while answering, so not sure if answer went thru, so let me repeat the answer. This is strictly a plug-in heater. Ok for camping if electricity is available, otherwise not.

what wattage is the lowest setting?****

I believe 750 is the lowest setting. On low it warms a bedroom nicely.

Does it consume a lot of power? Will my electricity bill go up?****

You can use the following formula to calculate how much it will cost to operate a 1,500-watt space heater (or any other electric equipment):
Watts x hours of use ÷ 1,000 x cost per kilowatt-hour = cost of operation

How does the automatic thermostat functionality work? Can you set a temperature and it turns off when that temperature is reached?****

The display has two knobs. The first one has a few marks around it to indicate a lower to higher temperature and the second knob has three choices-a regular fan setting, a lower wattage heat output setting and a higher wattage output setting.

Is this heater battery operated?****

No. it is an electric heater.

Would this be ok to put on a table, nightstand?****

I would think so, given the thermal safety switch.

Does this put out enough heat to warm a bedroom?****

Yes, this little heater works fine for heating a reg. sized bedroom 10×12. but it doesn’t last very long.

Is it cordless?****

No, it’s not.

Does the fan have 2 speeds?****

The fan only has 1 speed, but has the option of fan only, fan with a little heat, fan with medium heat, or fan with high heat.

When on the thermostat does (can) the fan still run when the heat’s off?****

Yes, this fan has a fan only, and 2 heat settings low and high heat.
