CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
It is important to keep all parts of the appliance clean. The parts that get
dirty the most during cooking are the inner lid, the steam valve and the bowl.
Newlux SmartChef Digital V100 includes an Auto Clean menu. To use this menu
after cooking, simply add 1 measure of vinegar or lemon and half a litre of
water, press the button and, once the programme has finished, rinse the bowl
with soap and water.
- Inner lid with silicone ring. You can remove the inner lid with the help of the two lower tabs. It can be cleaned with a damp cloth or with a mild detergent and a sponge.
- Steam valve, Remove the valve by pulling it upwards from the back. Clean with a damp cloth or mild detergent and a sponge or scouring pad.
- Inner bowl, This is made of aluminium and is coated with a revolutionary, highly durable, non-stick coating. Therefore, hardly any food residue sticks to it and it is very easy to clean. To clean, set the Auto Clean menu or use a damp cloth or sponge with a little detergent.
- Outer lid or cover, Clean with a damp cloth or with mild detergent and a sponge.
- Outer casing, If there is food residue on the outer casing, clean it carefully with a damp cloth. It is important to dry the appliance thoroughly before using it again.
IMPORTANT : You should replace the aluminium cover with the silicone ring
and clean the valves once a year, depending on use. Contact Technical services
when the appliance is more than one year old..
DO NOT USE ABRASIVE PRODUCTS. THE USE OF DISHWASHERS IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
COOKING TIPS
- Newlux SmartChef Digital V100 cooks however you like: in a single step or in several steps, for tastier results. For some recipes, it is best to fry quickly beforehand, i.e. to cook in two steps: first fry (in the Fry menu with the lid open and at maximum power, preheat the bowl with oil inside and add the vegetables), then continue with the main recipe.
- To grill fish or meat, you should heat the bowl with a little oil while preparing the ingredients. Once the bowl is hot, put the meat or fish in, sear it on one side, then turn it over and finish preparing the dish in the corresponding menu.
- If the cooking process is finished and the recipe is not well done, it may be for two reasons: the temperature selected was not correct or the quality of the food made the cooking time longer or shorter. Change the parameters and resume cooking.
- You can insert all types of ovenproof or grill-proof moulds into the food processor bowl. However, if you use metal moulds, be careful not to scratch the non-stick surface.
- If you want to programme a recipe that needs to be stir fried beforehand: stir fry first, then set the corresponding menu (programme) for a tastier result.
